Bilal ibn Rabah or Bilal al-Habashi (AD 580-640) was an Ethiopian companion of the Prophet Muhammad who was born in Mecca and who is considered as the first muezzin chosen by the prophet himself.

Is that because the prophet wake up from his death?".
