Great to see and industry where you work together to get the job done. , most these day would go out of their way to not help , that’s what makes farming great
Your new camera is brilliant. Only 65% today. Spent the afternoon up on Parbold Hill, in the same weather as you, scattering the ashes of a dear departed friend. Life goes on eh! 👍
Sorry Olly, forgot to mention the new camera yesterday so will make up for it today! Talk about night and day, new camera is superb. Nice and clear and crisp. The two combines and the Fendt together really was/is a calendar shot! And before I forget, your lighter side is showing today with your quips about various things, too many to mention, good to see you're back on form. As to yesterday's question, I knew what it was, just couldn't think of the word! showing signs of old age!
Unbelievable when you look at the ruts the combines are leaving - how on earth you’re managing to do anything is beyond me! Great blog Olly, keeping us all “entertained” thank you.
Superb video Olly, I think the two combines and tractor (5:41) in the video deserves to be in a calendar! CLAAS shot if you pardon the pun. 😉. 99.9% today because Dad's had his best week in ages. 🙏👌👍.
How annoying it keeps raining when you want to get finished combineing it must be a nightmare trying to harvest in these. Congratulations I’ll bet you’ll be glad when harvest is finished it’s certainly been a memorable one Your new camera is ace very clear videos I’ve got a new one this year I can take. Brilliant photos I thought seeing the two combines in the same field was brilliant that wants making a calendar shot definitely we’ve had a decent day today but we seem to get about 1/2 inch of rain most nights feeling 91% today and Olly Brilliant video
You’re not having much luck with the weather olly, it’s amazing the difference 300 miles makes weather up here around the Dundee area has been totally fine even had some warm sunny days this week
We had no rain today at Pocklington .East Yorkshire .. as you commented east Yorkshire 😅.. think the may have had on the wolds as looked dark over the hills .
Great new phone with a camera that good, it is so frustrating that the weather is stopping you completing this harvest. Hopefully you will get it done tomorrow, 55% Today .
Sadly the north west is closer to the Atlantic and weather systems, rather than the north east, where more rain falls in the north west or western side of UK. I also used to scribble on a loader sunvisor 35 years ago when I finished loading straw, and the latest I can recall was around the middle of September, an not this late.
Hi Olly the camera and the zoom is great on your new phone..it looks a bit wet in that field..you could have a combine race across the field..you have had no luck with the weather today...🙂🙂🙂🙂50%
105%, partly since my sister has been persuaded to let me drive out to places for lunch, so she arrives home "less tired". Weather very mixed with sunny intervals, overcast and showers. 5 yellow cars and a scooter rally so no point in even counting them.
The zoom definitely seems clearer, and the microphone is better when you zoom in and out. The sound dropped quite a bit before if you were talking and zooming in and out. Can your combine tow its own header ?? Sorry you’ve had a bad day with the weather. My day wasn’t the best, work woes, but we must power on eh !!
If the conditions were drier would you bale the millet straw? I understand that cattle find it rather palatable when chopped and mixed into their diet rations..... Maybe Tom's beef and dairy herds might benefit from the addition of millet straw into their feeds.
Hi Olly, great video as always, just a quick question and im not a farmer by any means, But when it's chooey and dam like that could you not raise the header right up so your only taking the top 6inch of the crop , stop it wrapping round the drive? Cheers sparky matt
Why did John not bring his own header but Phil did? Isn't that a waste of a tractor, if a combine can just bring his own header instead of an extra tractor bringing it?
Combine are header would be very long for some smaller roads. It's a 40ft head and a large combine. The other head for Bill's combine is only 20ft and his combines a smaller unit.
just an idea .It's the Tory party conference this week could the NFU just ask all the defeated Tory MPs for them to help with harvesting potatoes after many of them thought it such a good idea for the british unemployed to do the much needed farm work and no need for European help.
As you said " A stones just come out of John's chopper" the mrs said "you can get tablets for that" !😂
🤣🤣
Nightmare trying to harvest the canary seed. Lovely day in Oxfordshire after all the flooding we’ve had. Thanks for the birthday mention. 90% today.
I hope those canaries appreciate your hard work and frustration 😉

Great video Olly. Crap conditions, when are you farmers going to get a good run. All the best guys and keep up the good work 🚜🇬🇧
Dry, windy day in East Devon. Heart breaking to see the struggle Phil and the machines are working with. 80% . Take care.
When you back your combine into another piece of machinery it's called "doing a Wardy" 😂
What exactly is that crop that you are harvesting Olly?
@@OxxFreddyGlasgow.Canary Grass seed.
Harsh…….. but funny
no rain in south norfolk today. but heavy rain forecast for sunday night, monday & tuesday. great video

Great video olly, yes the zoom is much better.
Last spring wheat field for me tomorrow then beans when fit to go , hope it dries up a bit for everyone.

Canary seed. I’m glad Phil can feed some budgies.

John has the reel speed just right, not too fast. if the reel is too fast is threshes the crop out side of the combine.
Good video 👍 80% two combines and more rain.
Camera is spot on 👌 decent quality
Get yourself a phone gimble, it'll make videoing a lot easier
I remember over 50 years ago ,a guy cutting feed barley in december with snow on it ,
Loving the new phone, top zooming
Great video Olly
Frustrating day for you all, as you say, it sums up this year really. Good video tho. Thanks.
Hi great video 75%?!, weather is all to pot, odd maze field cut, good luck with it

Sorry you’ve had a bad day with the weather.

Great video Mate

Nice update olly, please can I ask what you are cutting 85% today
Some still left to cut here in the cotswolds we have had 3 times normal rain for September 8 inches so far more tomorrow and Monday 😢
Great video as usual😃 have you considered doing the wildfarmed field that clarkson did on the show?

12:00 that new camera is really good mate, have you ever tried using a phone gamble???
Evening olly
Good stuff
We’re completely flooded and can’t get on with lifting spuds
We have had 300mil in a week 3 out of five roads out of town closed deep water on monday two still closed 85%
Just realised it's not far off episode 1690. I wonder if there'll be a special white and orange guest driving out of the workshop. 🤔
Any grain maize to combine this year olly
18:36 great content again
You can rally cross a combine!
Rainford and Billinge are a lovely part of the world on the edge of Merseyside. Crazy combining in the wet like that, not nice at all.
Is that crop a type of Millet or a cross breed? The heads are not as long or big as the Millet I’ve seen for bird seed 🤔
Please show how water is running in ditch from new tiles
What exactly is that crop that you are harvesting today Olly? That phone is awesome. Is it the new iPhone 16?
Why did John not bring his own header but Phil did?

Does the 560 not have a rotor?
I've seen a farmer cut corn in December one year and baled the straw. I'm sure it was feed grain 😂😂😂
serious camera
How many acres do you farm?
Top picture lexion with lights on 👍
What the crop called again
Canary seed
Unbelievable watching you ones trying too combining in rain and we are too dry and needing to Irrigate to dig potatoes
👀🙄🐾👍
just an idea .It's the Tory party conference this week could the NFU just ask all the defeated Tory MPs for them to help with harvesting potatoes after many of them thought it such a good idea for the british unemployed to do the much needed farm work and no need for European help.
Do the rear wheels drive on those Combines aswell.?
Pure Frustration!!
You must love the photos of america when they have about 6 machines doing a crop
