  • High oil consumption in hummer h3 2009 3.7L
    Found oil in the air intake and throttle body.
    Reason was blocked ventilation line.
    I used brake cleaner and contact cleaner to clean the pcv lines.

    This fixed my blow-by problem of smoke coming out of the oil dipstick tube and engine. That thing was clogged with burnt oil. It was very easy to fix and no more smoke.

    I was changing coil packs on my h3 and thought of this video. I took a 3/32 drill bit with my hand and put it down there. It was completely carboned shut. I turned bit with my hand to bring the carbon up..
    Size of hole is 3/32

    Bro... this seems to work! I blew air into both orifices on the valve cover, as well as the hose with the small orifice on one end. Seems like car is idling smoother and has slightly more response when I give it throttle.

      @@BasselAlmehman you can replace only the valve cover.. But it's kinda difficult to find.. In ebay i saw one valve cover is available.Check with your local dealer too. But if you are replacing the cover better replace the gasket. Also you have to remove intake manifold to replace the valve cover.. Be careful with intake manifold gasket.

    Where are the intake sensor wires connected? I bought a Hummer this week and the sensor is there, but the connector with the wires are gone. The old owner must have disappeared with him, I don't know. I would like to know the path of the sensor wire input to its final destination. Thank you friend

      Can be different causes.. Rrmove the air box and see whether there's oil. Clean the throttle body if it's dirty. And also clean the Airflow sensor with contact cleaner.

    Do you know how to take the intake or PCV valve apart?

    • @hansnmify
      @hansnmify  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      PCV is built in the valve cover. When you remove the valve cover u can see a plate which covers the PCV connection,Then remove that plate and clean the lines. To remove valve cover first you have to remove intake manifold.So if you are willing to open the valve cover better get intake manifold packing too.
