back in the day I had a Polish girlfriend - we both lived in DC. she was several years older than I was.. every Sunday night we would 1st go roller skating at the rink in Suitland MD (just off PA ave, I think).. after 2 - 3 hours of skating then we would go Tracks DC on Sunday night.. & then dance for another 2 or 3 hours. it was a very unique experience, a very unique environment. the music was so good. the energy unbelievable.. & the man behind all of this on those nights was this same DJ Sedrick. his energy. his mixing. his outfits. he took it all to another level. those were some great times - DJ Sedrick always took the crowd there. I especially remember him tearing up jams like "what can I do for you" (LaBelle) "I'm gonna diss you right now" those "no man in the world" remixes we always left Tracks DC drenched in sweat & completely worn out.. but it was worth every hard-driving, thumpin' downbeat finding & listening to these "recent" videos of Sedrick - he still has it. he still has the love of the music he still has the energy, he still has the passion he can still mix it up & take it to the next level THANK YOU, DJ Sedrick you are truly a house legend & truly 1 of a kind among DJs
OMG! Tracks Sunday night! Back in the day, there was 2 places I went to, to hear good house music. Tracks and the Clubhouse. DJ Sedrick tore it up at Tracks and DJ Mandrill tore it up at the Clubhouse! Sedrick You are a beast man! Love you!
I got to see him play at the Paradox in Baltimore. This was probably in 2001. He banged the box! This was all vinyl too back then and the Dox had the turntables on suspension to handle all the bass. The only track I remember him playing was X Press 2 Muzikism. But he took it all over the place Fun night!
Dj Sedrick you brought back so many wonderful feelings, twirls and events to my body and thoughts!! I’m from Oakland California and I grew up with Julius ushering me into Sunday mornig service leaving The Warehouse. He past during 2021. You reminded me of his spinning. Church on every level. And then to close with Two Tons!! That was Julius’ closing song. God bless you in every way!!
This is house music being done by a true legend. I have great memories of going to the clubs in DC over thirty years ago and just sweating and dancing my ass off. Tracks, Edge, Brass Rail, Bachelor's Mill...those were the days. God Bless You DJ Sedrick...good seeing you still doing it. 🎤🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
