I always watch 2-3 videos of a song by different instructors. That way you’re bound to get it as close to the original as possible. This video has it all. Good job!
Been playing 30+ years and you blew my mind in the first 2 minutes. I have been playing this tune since I was a kid and always felt it didn't sound 100% right but I never knew why. Hitting the D string on the main riff was what I was missing. Thank you so much for sharing this!
For the longest time i thought u where a great man...i thought u knew it all...i listen to u pray just now..and realized your not the greatest intellect ever born...your just a man...that has come to God...now i really admire you...thank you for all your videos and books..u really inspire me to clean my room....
This is the only lesson that sounds identical to the studio version. None of the other tabs mention the small nuances that I could always hear in this, many thanks for that. Now I can have GP pro file that is accurate.
Dude I love that you show your tone settings in guitar rig...You're the first youtuber I've ever known to do that. It's really helpful! Great job, I liked and definitely subbed. Keep on keeping on brother \m/
CRIKEY...from a rubbish neo-beginner with a cheap HSS copy strat, and a very basic amp...I looked at your tab...and almost NAILED the riff first time...then on just my second attempt I was almost Jimmy Page - you are AMAZING!! Thanks from London, England!
Have a look at Joe Walsh total guitar set up you will like it

Я никогда не держал в руках гитару. И вот теперь с помощью твоих лекций я могу прикоснуться к истории рока, так близко моей душе! Спасибо огромное ! Ты волшебник !!! Однозначно лучший !!!
These are some pretty great lessons that you post. Some of them are a bit intimidating for my modest playing skills, but much of what seemed hopeless yesterday I can do today. This Whole Lotta Love is far better than some of the other treatments I've seen of this song. Thanks!
Omg every time he bent that b string all the way up to an A I thought it was gonna pop! LOL. All in all this is one of the BEST guitar lessons I've come across on here for learning this classic tune from the mighty Led Zeppelin!!
That's a great lesson mate , thanks for that and have a Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and a happy new year buddy and thanks for the year's of great guitar lessons mate I hope we get many more 👍
Perfect timing, thank you for this video! And...THANK YOU Jamie from work for telling me to watch this video. Honestly, I just can't believe the timing. Sorry for going on and on here - but I just have to share. So yesterday I'm at work, a bit exhausted. Well, to be 100% direct, I'm overwhelmed. I need time off and told my friend Jamie I'm going to. So she asks what I'm going to do? She suggested golfing and I almost spit the water I was drinking out of my mouth. Thankfully it didn't come to that ; ) I told her I need to start something easy and fun and thought to play and sing more music. So she told me about this channel - and it's given me new ideas. I'm going to start practicing piano soon too. AND...if all goes well...I'm going to bring my friends together and who knows, maybe even start a weekend band. Thank you Jamie. Thank you for creating this video and thank you universe for Jamie finding out about it too. Alright, bye for now - and big hugs to my new music friends : )
It is helpful that you layout the map by telling us that their are six licks. I don't know why but my brain likes to know what I'm in for, and your orderly approach is ticking that box. Old guitar player, new sub.
So many miss the slide and bend+open string in main riff that gives that dirty note sound. This lesson is exactly how I remember the tabs that Mr. Page supplied to the mag I read.
Great tutorial, instead of the different variations and telling the viewer different ways just play your way and say it's your version of the song tabs, loved it thought thanx
Wrong, it is supposed to be alternate picked. Watch Jimmy play it. He is almost strumming the whole song. It sounds different. This sounds like he is chugging a Metallica riff.
Joe Manning you’re right tyts what he does live. Not 100% sure he did that in the studio. But regardless, I was talking about the additional note slightly bent to give a tiny detuning effect that most people miss!
@@PeterPug Yeah most miss that reverse unison bend that creates that slight dissonance but most also miss the alternate picking and the fact that Jimmy is playing that E power chord with the D and G strings barred on the 9th. He doesn't hit it in full every time which is indicative of that loose strumming style he is playing it with.
Great lesson as usual. I'm a Jeff Beck's fan. Can you show how to play an "easy" part of Jeff...even if Jeff Beck's composition are not easy at all (sorry for my writing, I'm french speaking...and Jeff Beck' fan!!!)
Hi, I'm learning the solo by using this greate tutorial. Thanks! About last 5th liks where.seems it is not clear what Jimmy do, Importing the track on Audacity, after slow jt down, it seems that it goes as following: 2nd string 17, 1sd str 19b-19-18-17, 2nd str 20-19-20-17 and on the last 19, the note is a little bad....
The unison on the second note of the riff is everything. It is as if f the whole universe is being pulled apart in that moment.
Nice! One of the very few on here giving lessons that are actually correct.
I always watch 2-3 videos of a song by different instructors. That way you’re bound to get it as close to the original as possible. This video has it all. Good job!
Everything about this tutorial is incredible.
Been playing 30+ years and you blew my mind in the first 2 minutes. I have been playing this tune since I was a kid and always felt it didn't sound 100% right but I never knew why. Hitting the D string on the main riff was what I was missing. Thank you so much for sharing this!
Don't mind me, I'm just making it easier for me to replay the tutorial sections
Solo all together

Solo pt 3

I don't mind.
Very little people play this one right.. You do .. Eccellent !!!! Cheers

FINALLY...it’s taught correctly. Bravo.
Love the 'chorus' effect in this riff by playing the same note on 2 strings but bending one slightly sharp
Great lesson. A lot of subtleties and details and variations that are not in any other lesson thank you for covering in depth
Wow, your rendition of the solo sounds so good. It's not just about the notes : )
This is the only lesson that sounds identical to the studio version. None of the other tabs mention the small nuances that I could always hear in this, many thanks for that. Now I can have GP pro file that is accurate.
Excellent musician, teacher and lesson. Your attention to detail is brilliant. Thanks for taking the time to put these amazing lessons together.
Fantastic lesson. Your pace is great and the tabs really help.
Great lesson! Really helped me with the solo!
This is the best and most accurate lesson for Whole Lotta Love out there. Thank you!!!
This is the best lesson for this song.
Great breakdown, very chill delivery.
Merci beaucoup pour ces explications, les meilleurs explications que j'ai trouvé sur you tube. Bravo 👍
Dude I love that you show your tone settings in guitar rig...You're the first youtuber I've ever known to do that. It's really helpful! Great job, I liked and definitely subbed. Keep on keeping on brother \m/
Definitely, without tone, you're not in the zone.
CRIKEY...from a rubbish neo-beginner with a cheap HSS copy strat, and a very basic amp...I looked at your tab...and almost NAILED the riff first time...then on just my second attempt I was almost Jimmy Page - you are AMAZING!! Thanks from London, England!

Brilliant breakdown and superb playing. Thanks for this mate 👍
Great breakdown of a classic, and that trick you showed with the 1/4 bend is so crucial to getting that
actual sound. Thumbs way up, thanks.
Great lesson, never checked out your tutorials before, but I'm going to definitely follow you from now on.
Excellent lesson. Beautiful playing.
I have played for many many years but you are an excellent teacher and I love your videos thanks.
That's a great lesson mate , thanks for that and have a Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and a happy new year buddy and thanks for the year's of great guitar lessons mate I hope we get many more 👍
Very good lesson, it's not simplified that's why i like it. Thank you
We miss eeeuuhhhhhwwww in the chorus.
Excellent video mate. Best I've seen for this particular song and tabs too. Brilliant work. Well done 👍✅
Might actually manage to play it now thanks to you. Lol.
How can this guy get 2 dislikes. He is the best. I've learn dozens of songs from this guy. He ROCKS 🤘
Because he isn't using Page's vibrato in the opening riff. He's playing it too dry.
I really appreciate the lesson. You do it well. Thanks

Guitar rig 7 is out now, looks great, i wonder have you tried it and what do you think?

Solo is bomb......ty for helping me out
Spot on . Great tone .
So many miss the slide and bend+open string in main riff that gives that dirty note sound. This lesson is exactly how I remember the tabs that Mr. Page supplied to the mag I read.
Nice to see a fellow downstroker round here
Extremely well done. Thanks!

Yup...you did it right! That little bend takes you to 100%!!

You play riff in the right way
Great lesson.
13:28 in my guitar i can not bend to this note and i'm using 09 strings with floyd rose, what can it be?. awesome lesson!
I can do this even with 10s, just try, your string won´t break
What about the ascending 12th fret slide effect?
Alex - Thank you so much. Killer Lesson!!!

Excellent video tutorial. Very accurate!
Thank you now I can play it and it sounds right.
Outstanding, loved it...........................................
GREAT LESSON!
From what fret did you slide to the 7 string in the beggining?
What hardware are you using to make the sound? Great tutorial Cheers
Thanks. Very good.
Fantastic !!
Outstanding
Great Lesson
Fabulous lesson! Solo in E minor pentatonic scale?
yes
A fantastic musician and guitar teacher ;-)
What am I doing wrong when I bend up my A string to get the dissonance and my finger hits the E string it immediately mutes it out?
amazing lesson, great job Mr.!!
Thank you very much!
Well done, man
Did Jimmy use Alternate Picking in the original recording?
Who knows?
I think he did
Hey guy! Very good! More one 👍
Thank you for the secret in the intro!!!
@guitarforce.com are you doing all downstrokes for the main riff?
Yes, I do.
