Bernt Ståhl presenterar här en Volvo 244 50 års Jubileumsmodell från 1977 tillsammans med dåvarande ägare Kalle Sjö. 1977 firade Volvo 50-årsjubileum. Detta firades genom att ge ut två serier av jubileumsmodeller , 244 och 264. De var alla lackade i silvermetallic, de hade speciella lister, blå plyschinredning, ovala emblem med texten "Volvo 1927-1977" samt en skylt med P G Gyllenhammars namnteckning på handskfacksluckan.
Bilen blev såld 2020 till Stockholm området och var med på Klassikers #1 2023 omslag och i artikeln "Sverigeresan - i Bergslagen Sid 32-45".

I have volvo 244 model 1982 since 38 years, I drove it for 1 million and 350 thousand kilometers, it's not just a car, it's all the feelings , emotions and memories , it's member of the family , Volvo , what's not to love ,,,

Wow, 1927-1977, special edition 240, awesome, how many were made, it*s the first time I see this model,very rare.

Yes, very rare. I owned the 6 cylinder version of this 50th anniversary car from '79 to '93. When I bought it I was told by the dealer that only 1000 were built. I can't confirm that, but in all the years since '79 I have only seen one other like mine and that was more than 20 years ago.

Rather than a 244 mine was a 264. Because of that it was a more luxurious version and came very well equipped with power windows, power mirrors, power antenna, sunroof, heated front seats, A/C and cruise control. It was finished in the same Mystic Silver Metallic (code 130) paint with the same emblems on the front and rear and had the same blue plush velour interior. It also came with the 5 spoke alloy wheels. It was powered by the B27F V6 engine mated to a BW55 automatic transmission. All in all it was a beautiful and very well built automobile that offered luxury, performance and safety.

Orsak till 78 är sista året med sidomarkering bak är att 79 kom de med bakljus som gick runt hörnet.
