It wouldn't be. This is to melancholy and somewhat saddening to hear. This would be in the best possible purgatory we could imagine, or limbo. The worst possible purgatory or limbo you could imagine might have something like Pyramid Head's theme from Silent Hill.

words can't express how beautiful emotional and amazing earthbound/mother soundtracks are...it has the most awesome soundtracks of smash in my opinion....its sad that this franchise is not so popular at least not in smash it has only 2 assist trophy, 2 fighters, 26 spirits only 4 stages and 14 soundtracks...i wish they added ninten as a DLC or an assist trophy or simply an echo fighter for Ness i mean they both look VERY similar.. and...NINTENDO GIVE US MOTHER 3
Brawl was the first game I heard this track in, but hearing this for the first time in Snowman from Mother 1 just a few days ago really was something special. It's kind of amazing how good many of the tracks in Mother 1 still sound.
Ninten would be cool, but he is better off being a Ness alt costume or an Echo fighter, seeing as we already have Lucas who is somewhat similar. (I’m pretty sure Ninten and Ness are related anyways) Would be best if a Villain from the series was added instead. Our best 3 choices would probably have to be 1. Giygas/Giegue 2. Porky/Pokey 3. The Masked Man In that order. Now I haven’t completed any of the games (for a few reasons, don’t @ me XD.) I think Giygas would be the best option IMO seeing as he is essentially the big bad guy of both Mother and Earthbound. Many see Porky as the best option and I agree it would be nice to see him in, but having a non-human character would also add some variety. We also don’t have any Character Representation from the first game, which Giygas would be perfect for.
So nostalgic...I'm lucky enough to grow up with this franchise. Honestly, Snowman, Winters, Pollyanna, Bein' Friends, 8 Melodies from Mother 1 (and the song form of Pollyanna, Bein' Friends, 8 Melodies), Smiles and Tears, and New Age Retro Hippy/Franky's theme are my favorite pieces of music in the entire Earthbound franchise.
I don't really love going back to brawl too often, but the memories I have are priceless. I'm so glad I got to grow up with that game; say what you want about the story mode, you have to admit that it was extremely ambitious. I really don't know if we'll get a campaign on that level ever again in a smash game. That roster also felt so perfect back then. Unlocking characters like Toon Link will always be a cherished memory of mine. And that game by far has the most expressive Sonic in the smash series; you can tell they delayed it and used as much time as they could to get his expressions right. Listening to tracks like this and the Stickerbrush Symphony rendition from that game always take me back to me playing this game with my Wii Remote turned to its side. Good times!

If you listen closely, this remix of Snowman is actually based on the Mother 3 version. There's a slight difference in the baseline in the B section of the song. Instead of Eb G D Bb G, it's Eb G Eb Bb G.

My introduction to Snowman was Brawl. I remember hearing the track for the first time and my god it has been a favorite of mine from the series ever since. I always played this track to looking at bygone memories of a different time; typically when researching theme parks or lost cities. The track gives me the vibe of lost or forgotten memories. Despite the fact the song is all about the snowy environment haha.

Then the song plays where Lucas is in search for Ness, the song made me feel like it represented Lucas's depressive emotions, the stage itself also felt creepy and isolated
At the start I picture Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo walking up a hill in a snow storm, and once they reach the top they find a giant snowman that brought them warmth.
