We have to stop listening to politicians and corporations that tell us that it us demanding oil. People will use the technolgy if presented. Nobody was begging anyone to invent the car. the car was invented so people use it. People are not demanding that our standard of living keep rising. people just want to live in peace. If the oil ran out today, people would live on and the oil would be a memory. By blaming you and me for their endevours they pass off the responsibility.
