@@soup_is_good_food5743 I can call them an amazing band that does amazing things. There are so many amazing things that perhaps no other band has ever done in their entire history. But before KGLW, there were too many top-notch artists who couldn't be called "worse" than KGLW. Therefore, in comparative terms, it is better to take the measure of “amazingness” - and yes, these Australians have no equal in the history of rock music in this regard. They just exist in their own league. I think they don’t need to be compared to anyone at all.
@@soup_is_good_food5743 i love kglw saur saur saur much but also geese and other amazing bands exist today plus 50 years ago bands like the allman brothers and grateful dead were playing so i dont think i could agree with that
The Beatles supposedly set the bar for what was possible in the studio. These guys make The Beatles look like the Chuck E Cheese band. Then, they get on stage and crush expectations every single time.
This suite is so good and more specifically The Fourth Colour quite literally violently reminds me of our universal Divinity. 'I am omnipresent for thee' And back to a musical standpoint the way they bring all of the time signatures all together at the end and it ends up sounding like 3 different Time syncopation rhythms, shit I don't even know if what I said makes since and I've played music my whole life, gizzard does it again melts my brain into a puddle of tetrachromacy
My absolute favorite song. Listening to this album all the way through is what made me a gizz head. I was at the first red rocks show. Should have stayed for the other two!
Meet me glassy eyed, blind, and divine. Under a void on the ghost land. The castle is a pimple on the face of the world. The embers burned for ghouls to tread if you'd please try. I see through the bricks, to the sea, crumbling castle. Water's rising up, thick and green, crumbling castle. Inching closer each century, crumbling castle. Are we safe in our citadel?
I don’t want to be a cranberry casserole
Top shelf, mate.
ok, KGLW still the best thing that has happened to rock music in the last 10 years
💯
Agreed, however I'd stretch it out to 20, 30, 40, ... 50 years? Yeah, I think they might just be the best band in the last 50 years.

Just west of Denver
That would be Morrison. 😂
Although they sound really sound similar, I find similarities between this band and Mastodon at times.
