Hi. I believe they sell adhesive backed copper or aluminum foil tape in rolls and sheets. probably save you effort in cutting and glueing raw foil, since you can just razor cut copper tape and place, or tape directly to glass, and cut stencil put then remove excess. but thanks for video, I am trying to build a Senior / handicap friendly touch interface.

p.s. - you can probably just IRON the aluminum foil to the laser print out. the toner is a binder to fuse after heat activates, will stick to foil. probably better very thin foil. save effort in cutting, plus just print out any artwork for a shape. just an idea.....

I though about the idea of adhesive backed copper perhaps with one of those paper pattern cutters. But Aluminum foil was on hand.

I would be interested to see your work on the senior handicap project. I am in need of a split keyboard for use in a reclined position. I am "bedridden" (must find gentler word for this) and have issues bringing shoulders up and forward making laptop and desktop keyboards inefficient. I know there are split keyboards but I also need a ten-key pad. A telephone key pad would also be nice for remote work which I do. I am a senior with disabilities. Combining all this to create a MIDI-enabled device would be excellent as I write music.

Nice.. is it possible/ capable of sensing velocity and “touch response” (weight of finger, like piano soft touch/ heavy press)?

No, There are some timing things you can do to make it slower for longer life on a battery, I did a project that used the irq pin to wake an Arduino from deep sleep each time it was used that would run about 3 or 4 months on 3 AAA batteries.
