Growing up there was the best. We lived 6 miles south out on Hobart Rd. We'd come into town when the old theater was open to see movies for 50 cents. There was only one stop light in the entire town at Front and Sunset. It just blinked red, no green or yellow. One little light hanging on wires over the intersection.
I grew up in Bellevue, but the first place I lived on my own was a little apartment on the north side of the baseball field behind the police station on Sunset. I used to walk to the Front Street Market (now a Dollar Tree) for groceries all the time, check out Salmon Days, etc. This was super nostalgic for me. Thanks for posting. :)
Issaquah is one of the oldest towns in Washington. The first settler carved out a farm there in 1865, and soon ran into trouble with the local Snoqualmie Indians. They called the valley "Ish-squawk", bird place.
A narration would have been helpful ! was there from '70 on the Plataeu before it was the "Plateau"! left in '95.. then it exploded with growth... good place to raise kids..
Sad to see all the "progress". It was such a great place to grow up. Even the plateau has been ruined. Progress for the sake of progress isn't always good.
Tell me is downtown Issaquah on the first few exits off I-90 where the Bus Terminal is and Cougar Mountain? Or is it further up the I-90 assention? Which exit should one take for downtown Issaquah? I actually lived on Cougar Mountain for a year or so. But I guess I was too busy to really explore.

I can feel the incredible nostalgic mood from your simple sentences. What you have described is wonderful
@@weicitytour Nice drive.

I think the closest exit to downtown issaquah is exit 17. then turn right will take you to olde town. turn left will go to highlands
Front St., Turn right if you're driving eastbound on I-90
Front St exit
Is living on Cougar Mountain (e.g. Lakemont) expensive? Are there other neighbourhoods on the mountain?
请问issaquah downtown安全么?感觉有点小旧,不如redmond downtown
在我有限的经验看来Issaquah DT还是比较安全的,不过的确有一些小旧,而且活力可能不如Redmond DT。谢谢您的支持!
Good waygo good
