Uk police would need a request from the Spanish police. Spanish police would need to find some evidence to suspect them. My assumption is that organised crime have the police in their pockets and told them to go down the missing persons route.

It is extremely bizarre that from the outset of the investigation the two British nationals should have been deemed "irrelevant". Everyone seemed convinced that the two men, in Tenerife at least, one of whom was a known notorious heroin dealer drug dealer back in the UK, had absolutely nothing to do with Jay's disappearance. They were always relevant. They were the last people to have seen him. Jay had stayed with them. Very very strange.

Uk police would need a request from the Spanish police. Spanish police would need to find some evidence to suspect them. My assumption is that organised crime have the police in their pockets and told them to go down the missing persons route.
I think the spanish police need to be investigated, could they be in with the drugs gangs? Why did they take so long to investigate the Airbnb? Why did they not want the UK Police to come over to help with the search? Why did they let a convicted drug dealer go without really been questioned?

What proof is there that it’s Jay standing on the steps - it’s a photo of a hand, a lighter, some trainers (some say 3) and a piece of cloth that hangs strangely. We only have the word of whoever received the photo (Lucy?/Brad?) that it was sent from Jay’s phone - I don’t think their phones were examined - and even if the photo was sent from Jay’s phone, there’s no proof that Jay was holding the phone or anywhere near it.
It would be interesting to know whether Jay usually took/sent to his mates ‘arty-farty’ photos of his feet/trainers or whether he usually did what everyone else does and took selfies with his face showing.

Everyone seemed convinced that the two men, in Tenerife at least, one of whom was a known notorious heroin dealer drug dealer back in the UK, had absolutely nothing to do with Jay's disappearance. They were always relevant. They were the last people to have seen him. Jay had stayed with them. Very very strange.
