    Romans 12:1-2
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
In a time full of so much convenience, and entertainment at our fingertips, we have gotten too comfortable with everything being done without putting in time and effort.
Many of us have taken that mindset into our walk with God and expect God to work for us while we put little to no effort into working for him. But as spoken by Paul in Romans 12:1 sacrificing ourselves for the Lord is not going above and beyond, but is actually our reasonable service for God.
Be it our time with family and friends, entertainment time, our image with our worldy friends, money, and even that amazing sounding job offer, it sounds good for our flesh but if it gets in the way of our relationship and time with God, it is of no good to our Spirit.
It's important to remember we may enjoy clean things in this world but we are not of this world, and if we are truly wanting to serve God we have to give up many things in this world.
We can't conform and fall in line... We have to start putting God first. We need to renew our minds through constant reflection of ourselves and prayer with God. We need to study His Word daily, fast a meal or two to grow in the Lord and to pray for others, share the Gospel and be of loving, humble, and truthful witness of Jesus Christ.
A couple question's we can all ask ourselves...
    1. Jesus sacrificed himself for me, when is the last time I sacrificed for him?
    2. What can I sacrifice, and what more can I do for Jesus?
