NoMis, around 44:00 when you first got into the mini-warehouse, the one magazine with "Iron Age" recipes looked like it had "some" that you didn't yet know. Might be worth snagging if you're still in the area as of this comment. Heck of a series thus far!
20:55 So we are ''Dichtbij'' were going to have a helicopter coming soon? did I heard it right? Was that a random Dutch word? I am Dutch, and I was totally confused when I heard it. Replayed it back like 5 times. Anways, It made me laugh. (also you grew the beard overnight)
Yes! I totally didn’t think that I would have to manually attach the bait now. So used to the bait just being auto equipped from inventory. I tried it initially in a livestream with bait in my inventory but he didn’t use it automatically so I thought something had changed. Chat just clarified things for me in our Livestream last night. Started catching fish immediately lol. Thanks!
10:16 the splash areas are meant to mean increased chance of a fish. Hopefully you just had a bad spot of luck and fishing is more rewarding in general. I don't fancy spending all that time, fishing in the right spot and only pulling 3 bits of river trash!
it would be great if they add horses down the road so you can craft saddles and ride them, like Rick Grimes in TWD :D.There should be a gas pump down the street where those trailer homes are.
Horses would be really cool. Imagine coming through to a clearing in the woods and getting bucked off your horse when they get spooked by a hiding zombie? Thanks for the tip on the gas station!
I really want some of the more annoying bugs resolved. Not being able to clean rags at the sink and not being able to plumb sinks to rain collectors are the two bothering me the most at the moment. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the build and your playthrough. You showed off fishing, and that's cool - I've yet to try that but I will. Thanks for the episode!
Agreed. It’s awesome they’ve added so many little QOL mechanics, but we seem to have lost a number of them as well. I’m sure these will be addresses in upcoming patches. Glad you’re enjoying the content 😀
51:40 Did that Z really revive? Or did she lay down in the pile to ambush you...? Both ideas are great! If there's a setting for that, I'd put fakedeads to Max. Unpredictable zombies = more action & fun.
Oh god, the thought of zeds crawling into piles of other corpses to ambush you 😲 This is actually a game setting called ‘fake dead’. I have it set to include pre-dead zombies you come across I. The world as well as previous ones you have already killed, or at least “thought” you killed. I love the idea of never being truly safe!
It really looked like it! I have fake dead on in my sandbox, but I didn't realize that potentially means they get up after I kill them! I love that. It makes burning bodies waaaaay more valuable as a way to manage corpses now.
The default option is for only pre-existing corpses to have a chance to reanimate, but another setting let's you also choose zeds you have also "killed" as well.
Wow, those settings are awesome additions to the game! Now the other thing we need, are mass migration waves events. Rather than respawning, the Zs should flow in from the sides of the map, and walk through it in a general direction. Forcing you to hunker down until they pass by.
i got a 144cm Fish ..So heavy large takes my entire inventory and overweight .....not only that it takes up my entire VAN trunk and wont fit in any freezer ..or fit in an oven
Yes! Just caught my first couple monsters in the livestream the other day. Had to strip down to even pick it up. Was able to fillet it though and add it to stews. It will fill a lot of stews lol
This was my first thought as well. We used to use steel wool, dryer lint and a 9V battery I Boy Scouts as a fire starter. I tried something similar but didn’t see any option to start fire. Maybe we need a fire pit built first.
You don't need a cork screw or can opener or bottle opener with the multi tool you have, the multi tool has all those tools on it plus a knife and I think scissor?

Thanks! Will take another look, but I think Leroy might now those from his Blacksmithing Knowledge trait. Will double check though
Commenting for support, keep up the great work. By far best Zomboid commentary on YT voice is amazing thank you!
Very much appreciate the kind words and the support @amberrowe5130 :D

lol probably just got tongue tied. Maybe we can make it a new Dutch slang word though
Maggots and maybe the caterpillar you have in storage are fishing bait.

Excellent. We’re all looking forward to Leroy living the good life 😅
Indeed!
@@NoMiSPlays How did you put bait on the hook?

I've had better luck since in the livestreams. I can't quite remember, but I'm not sure I was even attaching the bait to the hook in this one lol
Nomis saw a new start flash before his eyes with that bathroom Z
Man, I thought I really blew it there
Leeeeeroy Jenkins!!!
NE from your base is a gas station, by the river, and great base
Thanks! We'll make sure to check it out!
Just finished the 3rd ep. It’s like you read my mind 🎉
I shall provide!

Cant seem to figure out how to fish on the steam deck, everything works fine apart fishing for me, maybe its not ready yet for controler support
Yeah, I believe TIS have said things aren't quite ready for controller support at this stage. Hopefully we hear more news in the next Thursdoid
You should pause while reading newspapers and pamphlets.
I enjoy the extra danger and uncertainty of taking a moment to focus in on a map/pamphlet. The jump scares keep the heart pumpin lol
FYI The Canteen can be attached to your belt!
Oh hell ya! Thanks man!
Steel wool is pretty great fire starter, maybe it's used for that?

Oh snap. Of course that makes sense! Thanks!
The new fishing minigame is interesting. I'm looking forward to trying it myself 🪱
I'm all for the removal of passive game play mechanics like the old foraging and now old fishing systems
