Thanks so much. I love everything about it. The music. The rich history of my native Columbus.

I recall taking the Greyhound bus from Westerville to Columbus before i-71 to do back-to-school and Christmas shopping at Lazarus...and looking at the big railroad yard and coal tower from Cleveland Avenue...

Love the trip down memory lane. Love the music with video too. We Americans love to build, tear down and built again. It's sad sometimes to see some of the buildings become part of yesterday.

Good stuff as a central Ohio native! The Scioto Mile park is nice and allowed me a great look at the crazy architecture of the Leveque Tower with my superzoom camera. I never could have imagined... I don't get into the city much anymore but I really enjoyed this, thanks for posting!

Oh wow. As a kid, we used to take the bus downtown to the Lincoln Leveque tower and ride the elevator to the top floor for the view. You can see basically the whole city. We even walked up the stairway once!! Even for a kid, that's a tough climb. Great memories.

Exactly what I was looking for - pity the captions are right in the middle of the screen, blocking views of everything.

HAHA!!The City Center mall saw the decline of shoppers due to gangs fighting & having shootouts in the mall.

Downtown casino could have kept some life downtown. Politicians wanted to please neighborhoods by giving them goodies rather than enhance downtown growth. Soccer stadium downtown helps since fairgrounds stadium did not help consolidate entertainment venues.

Its sad how it went from hundreds of private family owned businesses to nothing but big box international conglomerates. Looks cleaner but there is no soul.

Back in the 80s and 90s Downtown Columbus was Lively the new Downtown Columbus is lifeless it's a undeveloped City they should have put the Casino downtown but they put it on the westside bad bad bad move we are City where you can't get a train to Cincinnati or Cleveland bad move we are city that has no transit system bad move we are a undeveloped City we are not a Cosmopolitan City we are behind time we are maybe two hundred years behind major cities Columbus is a country town I'm from Columbus and this is the truth you go to other cities it's a lot better there than downtown and be able to commute it's a lot easier in other cities we are definitely in the Dark Ages with our Transit System

What would Cow Town have been like had the South won the Civil War and Columbus become the capital of the U.S.?
Now you get the feeling half the population was born in a Southern state, or SE Ohio.

Ever hear the phrase when talking about education in Columbus? They teach the three R's. Reading, Riting, and the Route to Columbus. ( Speaking of ppl moving to Columbus from W. Va. )

@@ampatriot6242 "Route to Columbus" is not heard in Columbus. "Route to Ohio" was heard in the states SE and south of Ohio. Also heard by travelers on I 75 and I 77, people enroute to Detroit.
Also have been told there aremore un wed teen aged girls in Columbus then Portsmith since they can't draw Welfare "down home".
