В конечном счёте афинская демократия продолжает называться демократией, несмотря на то, что гражданами являлось мизерное число от общего числа населения. Более того, например, великая хартия вольностей считается демократическим документом и до сих пор составляет часть британской конституции, хотя адресована баронам. Как по мне, возможность хотя бы части свободного населения влиять на избрание должностных лиц - уже признак демократии в античном или средневековом смысле. Но вообще смысл комментария не в этом, если что.

Very interesting you are mostly referring to the new Novgorod here around the 9th century. Opening up the awareness of how much older the northern migrations were to the overall makeup of very early civilization. So glad you explore into these regions and time periods. Ich bin ebenso überrascht das die kyrillsch Schriftgeprägten User hier her finden ...aber , das kann nicht nu allein an deinem Wissen via Wort und Schrifr liegen ...als wie vielmehr evtl an deiner wunderschönem Sprachmelodie ...fluesternde ASMR Videos sind zudem vielfach echt unertraeglich von so vielen ASMR Kanaelen ... für mein Ohr jedenfalls ..und das viele das auch einfach nur aus Geld Not und Profilierung tun hoert man meine ich aucb gut aus der Stimme und der Betonung heraus..bei dir klingrs jedooch anders ...als ob du eben liebst was du vermittelst.....also deine Stimme ist Ohrenscheinlich mit dem Talent gesegnet damit auch zu sprechen und andere dir zuhoeren WOLLEN ...und auch anhand der einstimmigen Feedbacks zuhören wollen. I'm always confused when Daugava, as it's known and cherished in Latvia, gets referred to as Dvina. :D (I've been to Latvia several times and my sister lived there for a couple of years. Daugava is... pretty important culturally, I think, there are songs and legends about it.) Meanwhile, I indeed keep confusing the Novgorods - I knew some of the history of this one but kept forgetting it wasn't the one on the big river because that one is too far inland. There was a Russian children's book I loved as a child that took place in a Novgorod, I should check if it says which one it was, in case I had had my mental image wrong this whole time...
Ah see, I didn't know about Daugava, but now I've been listening to Saule Perkons Daugava which is a lovely song and yeah, I think "pretty important" is on point. My knowledge about the Baltic countries is so thin, I guess it really calls for a video soon just so I can learn something haha.

ASMR is not my thing for sure, but this got my attention. Just like some people from the comment section, i live here, although i dont really like it here and i want to move to a different city. But videos like this remind me how grateful i should be to be living in a city with such a great history (and theres not many), it is also very beautiful, especially in summer. Sadly, russians dont really notice this city, its small and univentful. Even though its close to the capital (well, its considered "close" for Russia) and one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Saint-Petersburg (1.5 hour drive), people just forget about this place for some reason

Hey Ashlie, that's very sweet, thank you! For the videos, I mostly rely on wikipedia which is great way to get an overview over a topic and dig into specific details that you might want to explore (especially if you little time haha). Other than that, depending on what your favourite medium is and where you live, you might want to just look around a public library and pick out whatever sounds interesting, or have a look at podcasts and documentaries (I used to consume a lot of history documentaries on Arte and a French radio station when I was learning French - Arte now also have an English language channel, but imo any public broadcasting service like the BBC is a good source to explore), or see if there are any museums with special exhibitions that interest in you. Hope there's something in there for you :)

That's the dream 😆😂 But the sad truth is that the manicure doesn't take very long and then I do have to leave the house because we're not filming at my place, so I put on normal clothes. Though I don't know, living in a city probably means that no one would bat an eye if I were to run around in my pyjamas.

I’d love to see a similar style video done for a map of Middle-Earth from LOTR. While also going into the interesting lore and cultures. It’d be super nerdy, but also super cool. Lol
Oh, true, LOTR would be perfect for that. Though I have to admit, the last time I watched the movies was a couple of years ago (and the only books I had were an adapted translation that I - rightfully - got told off for by a true nerd haha). I'll see what I can do! Might take a bit tho.

ASMR is not my thing for sure, but this got my attention. Just like some people from the comment section, i live here, although i dont really like it here and i want to move to a different city. But videos like this remind me how grateful i should be to be living in a city with such a great history (and theres not many), it is also very beautiful, especially in summer. Sadly, russians dont really notice this city, its small and univentful. Even though its close to the capital (well, its considered "close" for Russia) and one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Saint-Petersburg (1.5 hour drive), people just forget about this place for some reason

Hey Ashlie, that's very sweet, thank you! For the videos, I mostly rely on wikipedia which is great way to get an overview over a topic and dig into specific details that you might want to explore (especially if you little time haha). Other than that, depending on what your favourite medium is and where you live, you might want to just look around a public library and pick out whatever sounds interesting, or have a look at podcasts and documentaries (I used to consume a lot of history documentaries on Arte and a French radio station when I was learning French - Arte now also have an English language channel, but imo any public broadcasting service like the BBC is a good source to explore), or see if there are any museums with special exhibitions that interest in you. Hope there's something in there for you :)

That's the dream 😆😂 But the sad truth is that the manicure doesn't take very long and then I do have to leave the house because we're not filming at my place, so I put on normal clothes. Though I don't know, living in a city probably means that no one would bat an eye if I were to run around in my pyjamas.

Nooooo 🙈 My notes are full of pronunciation rules and words spelled out syllable clusters etc so I would get everything right, and then the mistake sneaks in with the easy name 😅
