When I started as a carpenter in construction 35 years ago (Netherlands) we basically had one hammer to have, the stanley hammer with a steel tube as shaft. The Estwing was an exotic hammer option for the luxury guys and hard to get. In Germany the carpenters use a (picard / peddinghaus) with one klaw extension as a spike called a lathamer. If someone had a framing hammer that would have probably been someone that bought it in the USA during a hollydays trip. Now we can just order our stuff on the internet from everywhere I have a whole collection of hammers. Especially the framing hammers, plain, no waffles, I like. Probably I will order a kinetic-customs just to have it out of frustration that I could never have one when I needed it. I actually don't need it because I only use screws these days, but hey, I am also a tool junky.
there isn't a correct answer to the quetion of which is the best hammer? because one that suits me might not suit you. I use a Spec Ops 20oz with a 350mm shaft, i love it and i think it would be well worth testing one. Also i find that a straight claw is better when driving in big nails as it gives the hammer a higher centre of gravity. Great video by the way....
I dunno what's sadder I'm watching a vid on hammers or I got excited when I recognised the branch of generic blue DIY store, it's just round the corner from the mother in law lol😂
This isn't a fair comparison lads, hammers need to be similar length and head size as well as weight. Its quite obvious you get what you pay for like comparing a fiat to a mercedes.
F-16 all day have mine a year and it's just unreal ... strikes powerfully but swings like a feather ... hardly notice it in the hammer holder 👌👏
I couldn’t agree more mate! 💪🏼🔨
I still need to order a kinetic customs raptor to Canada. Such a nice hammer.
Do it 👀 the hammer is insane!
Yes boys! Back on the scene 💪🏻🧡 awesome video lads 👌🏻
Aha we’re back brother 👊🏼💙 appreciate the support mate
Really like the look of these hammers. Class video boys

Would love to see the f-16 vs a Martinez m1
How do the raptors compare to 16oz estwing?
Would love to see a comparison between the Kinetic customs and an estwing 22oz 🤙
The way you kids were missing those nails...must've been a real windy day...😉😆.
Great video lads, douse any of you use the kinetic customs 14.5 handle and would this do the same job ? 🔨
I do, I love it, I’d only get the 16” handle if I was driving nails in all day and banging big bits of wood around.
Dave uses the 16 and I use the 14.5 buddy, for me the 14.5 is more than good enough for all 💪🏼🔨
@@molley17 thank you 🙏🏻
@@TheToolJunkies thank you and keep up the good work 🙏🏻
@@jacobbrereton256 thank you buddy! Appreciate the support! Have a great weekend mate 👊🏼💙
Maybe review hikoki’s 190mm/185’m circular saws?
Great idea! We have this coming soon 👀 appreciate the comment 👊🏼

Does the F-16 have a 14.5 handle or the 16 inch handle?
You can choose your length of handle on these, the head is sold separately to the grips and handles. Build it how you like!
I'm forever losing my hammer. leaving them on jobs etc. so i usually just buy the cheap ones strange tho cause i never seem to leave/lose other tools
I have the same issue as you 🤣 thankfully I haven’t lost my kinetic yet 👀
Small hammer vs big hammer.

Thé best hammer is Martinez M1 🇺🇸
Estwing for me, i can't justify spending £100's on a hammer.
