In New York City it is a must that you have to have you Covid shot to sit in any restaurant, theater , gym. U can still do the outside restaurant. Currently most job require you to have your vaccine to work .

Then the night when you ordered pizza and she took herself out to dinner. Sometimes, traveling alone seems better but it looked like you still had fun on this trip. Just returned from France and they were real serious about you having your Pass Sanitaire app on your phone or printed. Every restaurant and most attractions asked that before we could enter. Here Paul's is way over-priced and the food isn't that great. So great to see you living your best life and having as many adventures as you can.

In DC, some restaurants and other places are requiring proof of vaccination (to the best of my knowledge. I haven't been out much and when I'm out, I have a mask with me.) I had gotten the vaccination as a requirement for my last job, and my new job (which I just started last week), will make it a requirement later on in the year.

I interpreted the “in order to even sit down at a restaurant” as though you were implying that dining at a restaurant wasn’t an activity that made sense to provide vaccination proof so it felt like snuffing at the requirement to me, especially given that by fall 2021 most places in many developed countries had shifted to requiring proof of vaccines to enter many places in society. So the tone in which you commented on it felt odd, in my opinion. I guess you were shocked b/c the UK hadn’t required them at all? Also, I wasn’t questioning if you were vaccinated, nor trying to accuse you of not being vaccinated. I said that the only ppl who would’ve pushed back are anti vaxxers, since you had asked that question directly after your comment “how do you think that would’ve gone over in the UK or US?” I’m a Black woman originally from Chicago now living in NYC myself, so to me the vaccine proof had been the norm for a while in both places and essentially across the US, except in Republican led states like FL who were pushing back for show.
gotcha! wasn't a snuff...was just surprised because I hadn't experienced it anywhere before. I believe this video was uploaded around 6 months ago, so at the time I wasn't aware that it was being done in other places because I hadn't traveled much outside of the UK since prior to the pandemic. Also which is why I posed that question to my audience. I have no issue with being required to show a vaccination card anywhere and there are certain places here in London that now require you to (still no restaurants). I feel like the UK is the only place that was protesting showing vaccine cards to dine. It’s a mandatory in the US. Most people embrace it, minus anti vaxxers of course. I’m shocked to hear her snuff at it…

I interpreted the “in order to even sit down at a restaurant” as though you were implying that dining at a restaurant wasn’t an activity that made sense to provide vaccination proof so it felt like snuffing at the requirement to me, especially given that by fall 2021 most places in many developed countries had shifted to requiring proof of vaccines to enter many places in society. So the tone in which you commented on it felt odd, in my opinion. I guess you were shocked b/c the UK hadn’t required them at all?
Also, I wasn’t questioning if you were vaccinated, nor trying to accuse you of not being vaccinated. I said that the only ppl who would’ve pushed back are anti vaxxers, since you had asked that question directly after your comment “how do you think that would’ve gone over in the UK or US?”
I’m a Black woman originally from Chicago now living in NYC myself, so to me the vaccine proof had been the norm for a while in both places and essentially across the US, except in Republican led states like FL who were pushing back for show.
gotcha! wasn't a snuff...was just surprised because I hadn't experienced it anywhere before. I believe this video was uploaded around 6 months ago, so at the time I wasn't aware that it was being done in other places because I hadn't traveled much outside of the UK since prior to the pandemic. Also which is why I posed that question to my audience. I have no issue with being required to show a vaccination card anywhere and there are certain places here in London that now require you to (still no restaurants). I'm a black woman from Chicago as well but I've been living in London for the last few years. Thank you for watching!

That’s how it is in NYC. You have to show your vaccine card to go out to eat and sit inside. I personally like it. Feels more secure until we get to herd immunity.
