Yes, there was a matching "Herring Aid 5" Receiver described in the July 1976 issue of QST. A Google search will find information about it.
Wasn't there a 'Herring Aid 5' for the matching receiver? The 5 being the number of active devices.
Looking forward to seeing a demonstration of this set up in action. Maybe a 1st qso? Nice video.

AFAIK there never was a Tuna Tin 1. Maybe that was the tube version? :-)Tuna Tin 2 just sounds better.
