Hi guys. I’ve got to share this with you. Two years ago I could hardly walk across the room or sleep all night in a bed because three of my disks disintegrated. After a lot of hard work and painful treatment 10 weeks ago I started C25K. I came across your videos, and seriously it became part of my recovery/training package. Today I completed my first full nonstop 5K run. To say I’m exsstattc is an understatement. So thank you for being part of my recovery I’m now officially a runner xx
Well done rob, I remember how it felt to Finnish a 5km for the first time - euphoria !!!!. You'll get the same feeling doing a 10km for the first time, but you'll be more sore, and tired which dampens the euphoric feeling - but you'll keep searching for that achievement' high ' feeling time and time again through Personal bests! PB's. You are a runner! Welcome to the club :)
"Na, id rather not discuss how much i love running and what i get out of it and how therapeutic and meditative and satisfying it is...id rather keep my love for running to myself..."
“ oh look there’s no queue for the port a loo “ ... and “ I’m glad I was running into a headwind for most of the ten miles as this will really increase my leg strength “ .. great vid as always 👍
I really love to run if it rains cats and dogs, nobody is out there and it's like a big adventure, every time I get excited like a little kid on Christmas day :)
The "i think i am going to run that hill again" and "my injury is going to make me a better runner" cracked me up :D and then came "the chafing is just a nice tickle" ahahahah
Well I wouldn't tell that either however the following sentence came to my mind a few times: "If you slow down a little I promise I will cross finish line after you".
There's a little confusion in this comment thread between things runners would never say, and things runners always say but they're lying through their teeth...Former: "I love running in the heat!" Latter: "I'll be running this weekend's parkrun just for the enjoyment."
So true. I love medals. Even participation or finishing medals are so good. I think there would be runners protesting the streets without a free medal, t-shirt or novelty gift for completing a 'fun' run!! I love all the free race stuff. Who said who can have too many drink bottles!
My favourite from one of the marshals on a 10k race I did last year: at 5k “keep running you’re nearly finished” in the humid June weather. To put it lightly I was singularly unimpressed by that comment.
"I would love to do couple more of those intervals" "I think I am running too much" "Hi honey, I would love to slow down for you so that we can finish our next 10k charity run together!"
"I don't feel like doing intervals today". "The treadmill is so much easier". "I'm not going to run this morning, the Tour de France is on". "I don't NEED to warm up, I don't have that problem". "I always eat high fiber cereal before running and NEVER have any stomach issues".
Okay I literally loled this whole video! “ILove running behind slow moving pedestrians” 😂 the chafing screaming killed me! 🤣🤣 seriously tho: you guys are rocking the mix of good tips and tutorials, interviews and humor! Gonna buy a T-shirt just because you are amazing!
As a runner. I don’t think running is a sport at all. It’s the most basic and direct way to be a fit person, it’s exercise for the sake of exercise. It’s enjoyable at times, but it’s no where near a sport - unless you’re competing it’s the same level as going to the gym.
I love my parkrun PB 29.02, especially when its seconds is not far off the minutes. (URGH!!!!!! 2 seconds!) (love your channel and still haven't beaten it yet and it's the run when I say I'm not going for a PB!)
I disagree with the point about short shorts. Personally I think they're quite fashionable and really once you run in them once, there's no going back to knee length.
Guilty here. I never thought running/biking were real sports. For me, they were like doing pushups. Played a lot of soccer and basketball growing up. Now that I am older(38) and don't do sports anymore, it's become more convenient for me to call it sports
Love the London Marathon ballot one! The drink spray was classic. Been trying for 5 yrs and no luck yet. (& it wont be next year as missed the ballot cutoff!!!) Come on 2021! :-)
"I actually think injury prevention through stretching, strength training and foam rolling is the best part of the running experience"
Hahaha
I for one love stretching and strength training
*coming up to home on end of run*....”My watch says I’ve run 9.99 miles. Oh well, that’s 10 miles rounded up - I’ll stop now”
🤣 Nope!!
Alexandra Bicknell 🤣🤣never happened on the history of the world!!!
i’ve done that on a 7 mile run lol
Omg yes hahaha this one
Aaaaaand then you just run in small circles until you hit an even number!
I already ran in those shorts yesterday, I definitely can’t wear them again today
#facts
well the shorts lining is basically underwear. nasty to wear again without washing
headphonic8 Wait, you guys don’t wear underwear when you are running? A guy thing?

This is so amazing Rob! Makes us so happy. Well done! 👍👏

YAY, welcome to the runner family Rob!
Nice! That's one hell of an achievement.
'That race went perfectly. I couldn't have executed it any better.'
Hahaha🤣
one pair of shoes is definitely more than enough
😂 nailed it
The "I Lov-Lov-Lov-Love running around the same block over an over again" has me dead LMAO
😂

@@jayvonpryor1956 Its a running app
"I'm no going for a pb at the parkrun this week, I'm just going to enjoy it"
Ha. Yes!
I tried to just enjoy my run yesterday but I couldn't help myself. 😅
"I'm glad this dog is chasing me, because I'm sure they are just friendly as the owner says..."
A common problem in my area of Barking and Dagenham
Yes one of those broke my arm last year !! Arnt they great!!!
"He definitely won't swoop in right in front of me causing me to break both of my knees."
I'm glad I skipped the bathroom before the race.
😂
Oh damn, this one for sure.
😂😂😂
I always trust a fart when I run longer than 15km
😂💩
"I run my easy days too easy."
🤣
"This is the fastest I'll ever be. No point doing anymore running."
“I’m so glad it’s raining and windy today. Running conditions are ideal!”
I really love to run if it rains cats and dogs, nobody is out there and it's like a big adventure, every time I get excited like a little kid on Christmas day :)
@@LukasSkate2 yep me too, and splashy puddles every where
"That race course at the weekend was too flat - so boring"
I audibly laughed out loud at "I should do that hill again..!" 🤣
...unfortunately . . this is something i always say.
Hills are our friends 🤣
Same here, hill running is great strength training. Many fun hours spent running sandy hills in Newlands corner.
Qieth bro that was so funny 😂
Qieth train hard, race easy
"I'm sure this shin pain will go away"
...on its own without doing any stretching or seeing a medical professional! 🤣
"I haven't had a single injury in the buildup to this race. Lucky me!"
🤣
This video is hilarious! One thing I will never say is "I am faster than all of you suckers!"
😂😂
“I have wayyy too many medals!” Said no runner ever Haha
😂
I'm going to run one of those, 5K Marathons this weekend. ;)
I’m perfectly ok with that cyclist sneaking up on me without ringing their bell!
“I’m more than happy with my current PBs”
Spot on 😂
Weirdly Kieran, I am. My parkrun pb is about 2 mins faster than I can do now and I am actually ok with that.
"probably" only Bekele
That race photo one had me in stitches especially after seeing my GNR pics 😂😂
Ha! We love a dodgy race photo
"I don't need a new watch." 😂
🤣
“I think I might just do that hill again.” As a beginner trail runner this sentence has become my training motto.
That's a fantastic motto!
the best one is the "i look great in that running photo" ...
😂
This time I’m going to follow that running plan
🤣 Good one
🤣🤣🤣 OMG I’m turning into a runner 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️. Loved the video thanks guys x
Thanks Rob! 👍
I can’t be bothered with the goodie bag at the end of the race I will leave it for the amateurs x
‘You can keep your free race t shirt’ 🤣
"I always run at my scheduled time." :)
“I’m going to go light on the post reach refeshments, only a bite or two”
How about a clip concerning carb loading / low carbs? Might be time now...
The "i think i am going to run that hill again" and "my injury is going to make me a better runner" cracked me up :D and then came "the chafing is just a nice tickle" ahahahah
😂
Wow a mountain!!!! This will make the home parkrun hill easy, lucky me!!!
“I don’t really want a shower after that run”
Haha! Gross!!
"I totally love it everytime someone honks at me when they are driving by"
"My shoes never gets squelchy and always stays fresh and dry during the run" :D thanks to all your videos guys...
What I would never do, is telling someone to slow down in a race. Especially if I don’t know them.
Well I wouldn't tell that either however the following sentence came to my mind a few times: "If you slow down a little I promise I will cross finish line after you".
"I LOVE the feeling of running into the wind!"
"Nice and steady today - don't dash off and leave me at the end" - as said person puts on a sprint at the end and disappears into the distance...
So glad I can see my watch screen so easily in the sunlight.
😂😂
“I really love all these aches and pains after a long run this is why I love running”
lol 😂
The London marathon ballot 😂😂
😉

" running isnt a real sport"
That could get you punched
Watched this as I was foam rolling and died when I heard “My IT band feels GREAT!”😂😅☠️
I love you guys so much. Stay awesome!
Love you too!
Ive got enough running shirts😂
😂

Love these videos 👍

We never say “oh I’d better slow down because someone at work told me that running is bad for your knees.”
I actually love Queuing for the portaloos on race day.
😂😂😂
My, my. Don’t you just love when it snows during an XC meet, such fun!
🤣🤣🤣
'i love getting my achilles stamped on on race day and dont mind the runner doesnt say sorry' 🤔🙈🤣

Lol - I'm a serial London ballot reject too. Great channel, thank you!
I lolled at 'I'm expecting to get into London through the ballott'
"I don't have a favorite medal!"
The upper body work is spot on
As a non-UK based runner I actually had to google Parkrun
I really fancy doing a hill session tonight.
Running negative splits feels natural and easy, especially when you start running!
“I’ll never buy a pair of running shoes at retail price.”
I am definitely keeping my mouth shut when a colleagues are talking about 1/2 marathon.

I am pacing my friend at this half marathon race... I just take it easy
Haha! Oh yeh. The downplayer...
2:29...looks remarkably like "Look Mum no Hands" hipster cycle cafe in Old Strret !!.
The chafing one really got me! 😂 Also...we don't have park runs where I live.

Love this video 🙌🏼 That world major entry fee is so expensive, I’m going to give it a miss
Thanks for watching 🙌
I love my parkrun PB 29.02, especially when its seconds is not far off the minutes. (URGH!!!!!! 2 seconds!) (love your channel and still haven't beaten it yet and it's the run when I say I'm not going for a PB!)
"I planned the length of that route perfectly! Now I don't have to run up and down the street, or walk an annoyingly long way to get back home!"
This definitely won't wreck/cause arthritis in my knees in later life
😂
"11.97 kilometres? That's close enough"
😂
I love walking downstairs the day after a marathon.
I disagree with the point about short shorts. Personally I think they're quite fashionable and really once you run in them once, there's no going back to knee length.
It’s so nice out today! I definitely don’t need any sunscreen!
I definitely don't need to overtake that slower guy
