Putting mine together now. 240 pounds of steel in this bad boy!
@@thegalleryBBQ did my first smoke Sunday. Burgers, brats, boneless pork ribs, Mac n cheese, and a small corned beef brisket. They all turned out great! Definitely a game changer from my old offset!
Nice! I will probably be getting one of these. Can't wait to see you use it!
Looks like a hefty grill can’t wait to get your take on this one and definitely the new Masterbuilt…..lots of good stuff coming!
Dang Tommy, nice looking pit! Can’t wait to see the first cook. Brisket or ribs would definitely be awesome sir!. Cheers brother 🍻
I swear to you my guy, you are one of the best. Love your content 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Hey Tommy, interesting grill a bit of assembly but luckily you only have to do that once. can’t wait to see how it cooks. I’ll be cooking tomorrow myself my brother is bringing back over all my sharp instruments and my shoelaces and belts after that Lions lost last weekend. I guess there’s always next year have a great one as always.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍
Watch that first step, it's a doosie. 😜 Cool grill and nice job with the install guide! 😎🍻
That's one good looking cooker. That new pit looked pretty good as well LOL.
I'm looking forward to you putting it through its paces, Tommy! Do up some ribs to start.
Great job Tommy. Can’t wait to see you using it. Looks like a well built grill. I would like to see you make some t-bone 🥩 steaks. I want to know after you cook on it what you think about it because you are a very professional cook. I am trying to decide what kind of grill I am going to get. I have a Pit Boss Lexington grill right now which works great but would like something bigger because sometimes I want to cook for more people visiting. Have an awesome week Tommy and CHEERS.
Love the video. Can you put wood chucks in with the charcoal to get some wood flavor. I haven't seen anything about this yet.
I know you can inside the ash catcher. Im guessing in the hopper would also work. Ill be cooking on it today and will do so.
I gotta know….your the reason I bought my masterbuilt years ago ….I GOTTA KNOW how the build quality is compared to the 560 …..is this the pit we’ve been waiting for?!?!?!
Well this is built like a tank for sure-. That said. Ill need some cooks and will also need to see the new Masterbuilt! Stay tuned.
So mine came with a fuse. Or what I think is a fuse. I didn't see anything in the instructions about it and I couldn't really find where it would even go. Do you have any insight on that?
I do not although i did see that. If i had to guess it's maybe in the plug
Great video Tommy! Definitely will be watching the startup, seasoning and first cook. Will you be using Charcoal Briquettes or Lump Charcoal. You always compare other Gravity Fed Smokers. Maybe a side-by-side comparison with the new Masterbuilt due to be released in April
Pretty cool. I think chicken should be your first cook on it. Cheers, Tommy! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Awesome, Tommy! Can’t wait to see the initial burn-in and first cook!
Real quick, does this smoker have a heat channel and defuser that sits on top of that, like the Masterbuilt and Char-Griller Gravity 980 or no? And can you show us some video of the inside of the cook chamber to see everything that’s inside it below the grates? Thanks!
Pork butt. That way you see if the Temps bounce around or not holding properly. All was see if long cooks if wood chucks/ lump/ briquettes get stuck in that angled hopper.
NYCE ... I like it, but I have a MB 1050 and 560 both with All of Lukes (lss) mods and upper and lower racks from 'Joe's Grill Grates' ... he makes the best and sturdiest out there
can you sear steaks on this? I see it only goes to 600 and does it error out once passes that temp?
I have a steak sear video coming soon. Today, is beef ribs. With-in that video you'll get a steak sear sneak peek!!
What does the damper tile do? Mine fell out the first time I cleaned the smoker. It fell out when I removed the grate. (I did not assemble, Lowe’s did)
Is the tile a necessity you think? I got my Tahoma from Lowe’s pre assembled and the tile fell out the bottom..
@@thegalleryBBQ you know I’ve been using it and it’s running amazing! Temp has been steady so I’m not sure if that tile makes much difference. Thanks for showcasing this smoker on your channel as it helped me find the right one for me.
Tommy just give me an honest comparison to the Masterbuilt gravity feed.
I'm anxious for that too as I have a MB 1050 and a 560 and like both better than my GMG pellet grill
Your first cook should be beef ribs. A lot of assembly on this pit.
Tommy I purchased this smoker, it's bad ass.
@@thegalleryBBQ No problems as of yet, need to make sure if using wood use chunks.
@@chrism5455 How about after a cook is done. I'm hearing the charcoals stay lite to the end.?
@@thegalleryBBQ Tommy, you need to close off the baffles, I'm using coals from my last cook today.
One thing I've failed to mention, if planning on using the "wifi" 5.GHZ will not work, currently I cannot use that feature.
Looking forward to the cooks but man, way to much assembly gor me.
lol... It all fit together well. 4 hours with cameras rolling prolly two without!
Thing looks cheap.Probably won’t sear a steak very well. The other gravity cookers sure don’t
Its certainly not cheap. That said. Full review coming soon. Like in a few days!
What should I cook/smoke/grill first?
Brisket
Pork butt
St Louis ribs.
Pork butt
Standing Rib
