If you are wondering why the other versions of this song don't sound like his audition, it's because of the effect the nerves had on his voice. He just watched his sister, his best friend, flub her audition and get four "no's". He was already nervous prior to watching his sister audition, then he watched her crumble, then had to go out, face the judges and the largest audience he's ever sang in front of, and not crumble himself. He was visibly shaken. All of that emotion can't possibly be duplicated. I think this version is brilliant on it's own...
