Thanks Grandma Mimzi! I have used the tea bag to repair but never seen this process. Very cool! I have been using the Karlash repair kit from Amazon and I only use it on my nails that break at the quick. It works and is very easy to upkeep. I don’t ever remove it all to let it grow out. I have one nail right now that is almost all the way grown out. I need to trim it back. Everyone has their own processes. This was very cool. Thank you. ❤

@@melissasmanisandmore . You're welcome, I'm so happy you find it interesting. I Had to, with that whole necessity is the mother of inspiration figure out how to save my wayword Nails, because nothing I tried would stick or hold, Let alone hold up long enough for the nail to grow out. I would use torn up tissues, from the TP type, the paper towel and napkin type, to the wrapping paper type, in various ways and layers until I Heard about the tea bag paper ... Thank you again. 💜🤗

That’s some serious protection you’ve got going on! I don’t drink tea so I’ve never used tea bags. I use silk wrap and gel resin. It says gel but it doesn’t require curing. From my experience it holds better than glue. It takes about thirty minutes to dry and lasts for 3 to 4 manis if I just use a cream polish.
Thanks for sharing your technique. I may invest in some tea.❤

@@lisapierce525 ... Yup, gotta go All in. oh we'll convert you to a nice cuppa... Mmm try an English or Scottish breakfast tea. With your choice of sweater and traditional style includes lemon, mmmMmm, but I do on occasion prefer cream (milk). There's some very good herbal teas that don't have caffeine. If you are buying from the grocery shop Tetley or Red Rose traditional tea. I can't really recommend the other store brands, definitely NOT Lipton. Find a local tea shop and explore. You'd likely want to save up for a Day outing to a 5 star high/low tea experience. No pinkies not out. LoL. Like you said, some serious protection, my glue is stuck. I could actually do a Mani or 2 and still use acetone and not have too many issues. I'm just going to be doing so many videos soon that it's just going to be easier to not have to keep going through the process. You're welcome and thank you for watching and commenting as you are always there cheering me on 💗🤗💜🤗

@@GrandmaMiMZiSays Thanks for the tea recommendations. I used to drink hot tea but definitely don’t like any cold tea. I’m in a small town. There’s not a tea shop anywhere around here.😞

What do you suggest to use to remove the polish so as not to take off the protection? I’ve been using orly nail saver kit and every week I have to redo everything because nothing else works like acetone to take off the layers of nail polish. 😂

@@halloweenqueen ... That's just the situation. When I do this, I don't remove it. I just plan to have plain nails for a few days, I might create a very neutral Mani that I just keep adding to, and when I get enough new growth, repeat the process. My nails grow really quickly so for me it's about 2 weeks to a month. 100% acetone will take off a layer. So if you are going to do this and want to change out your Mani, I would suggest an extra layer of tea bag and nail glue. Use the acetone to take off the polish and apply another layer of tea bag and nail glue buff and create new Mani until you get the growth you want. I hope that explains it and works for you... 💜🤗
