Great Video to show mid handicap golfers how to get round with out trying to hit every ball out of sight and return a score.

Great video and one to get you thinking. So often we go out there with no plan...we just hit it...and hope and get frustrated. This plan has realism at its heart and some bad shots built in. THe usual issue is to keep the focus so lets see. I'm going to try i next time out.
Right I've given this a go today at South Staffs GC.Par 72 /6208 yards.
No driver only 5 wood off tee. Aim was to get on green in one under par then 2 putts per hole so aiming for a bogie every hole. Bogie is your friend!!
Result was drives approx 170 +/- 10 yds. 11 out of 14 fairways hit. No bunkers/no penalties etc.
Scored: Pars 7/Bogies 8/Dbl Bogies 3. Round in 86...my best. (Previous best 88).
It's a different focus and I enjoyed the more relaxed, play within yourself approach.

Shot Scope I want your watch. These 80 90 100 videos are so helpful. I play off 29 on a 9 hole course but have been scoring in the 20s regularly since watching them. Real golf course management!
I hit my 4 iron 190-197. I want your shotscope. I want your seed balls please mate. BTW that last 4i you hit, cracking shot. Good idea for the video, reckon we've all learnt something here.

Shotscope I want your watch. Terrific video. This is exactly where I'm at, trying to break 85 consistently playing off 15. I've ditched my driver for a couple of months now as it just kept putting me in hazards. I hit the irons way better than the woods right through the bag. They just feel more natural. Maybe I should try only irons as well. I can still hit the 4i 195yards + so I'm only losing 40-50 yards with the 3 wood. Keep keeping it real Liam.

Well done Liam - real life golf. You went through the mentally tricky bit on the back nine when you were over-thinking a bit and worrying about your swing. But you cleared your mind and finished with a flourish. That 4 iron into the last green was an absolute peach!

I hit 7 wood shotscope for 190. It goes about 180/185 but with run that’s my go to shot.

Really good info - shows us non big hitters should be able to get reasonable scores. Whilst waiting for your new videos I am working my way through your back catalogue. You can see how far you have come. Great quality and a shout out to the guys behind the camera ( not just the stars😄) which I have been meaning to comment on. Liam...fantastic video...in particular love your short game...something essential for me. I'm 70 this year and in remission from lung cancer from last year...sadly following all the procedures i've lost my distance so essential my short game is on the mark...i currently have a 10.7 GA handicap and to answer your question the best i can do at 190 yds or 175m is my driver...i would love to win your shotscope prize...however i love following your channel...cheers Graham
Loved this one Liam just goes to show you don’t always need to hit the driver. I hit my 4 wood around 190 yds now so will give this method a try next round and see if I can get my score down. Keep up the great work you had me entranced all the way through this one
Great video Liam and team. Well played. I think the thing that stands out most is your ability to keep it together even when you have a few bad shots. That is the down fall of many of us higher markers. You had a plan, stuck to it and it payed off.

It's not normal for me to make three comments, but I have to congratulate you Liam, on a very consistant round in difficult windy conditions. I now feel that I can get a good round in tomorrow by using your positive thinking.

I hit 7 wood about 190 with a good hit but just bought a 5 wood to give me that extra bit as 7 wood goes quite high!

I hit my 4 hybrid 190. It shows that course management is more important than power. If you can map your way around the course you will score well.

Great video! Although older than you, there are many times I wanted to play a regulation size course with just my irons - to prove to myself that distance is not the key to scoring. As I creep up on my 65th year, I watch more and more OMP videos. He is a testament to 5he fact that distance is helpful, but direction and playing the wise shot are the most important attributes. Keep up the good work and fun entertainment.
Absolutely class and apt as I'm playing Bentham next weekend for a long weekend 3 rounds staying over Friday and Saturday. Plus driver isn't my friend right now, so 4 iron is my club at present and I hit it between 180 and190 depending on contact. But usually with a massive fade not a slice as it starts straight and goes right towards the middle/end of flight. Thanks Liam proves you don't need to be a big hitter to get a decent score. BTW I play off 27.6 at the min.
