Fine presentation, detailing some hitherto unknown details of Godel's life. Sad that such a superlative intellect is, unlike Einstein, lesser kmown in the popular sentiment. I found the revelations of the depth of Godel's mental disorders quite shocking, and hazzard to conjecture that had it not been for Adele's nurturing his life would have been much truncated. This conjecture was validated in discussions I had with the late Paul Erdos in the 1980's.
2:54:00 I agreed with Kurt Godel until He said the theory of everything is not possible. Godel and others are looking for a finite answer. The answer can be described in finite terms, but mathematical it can represented in the same aspects of P=NP. The theory is not more of a What, but more of a Why.
juan mrosell. I've visited your blog. Your claims make absolutely no sense from a mathematical point of view; you don't even deal with mathematics or logic save for stating that Gödel's formula G and its negation are equivalent, which is absurd. Let me advice you to spend your time in serious study and not in vacuous speculations. Logic and math can be absolutely fascinating in themselves. No need to mix them with fantasy.
Really fantastic lectures. Happy I spent the time to watch everything. Thank you for making this available.
check out my other videos on Godel, Leibniz and Cantor :)
Great series of lectures ;)
