Hey Beigemaster. This video couldn’t have been more perfectly timed (just hit red ranks with King a bit ago) so thank you for this. I am really looking forward to a lab video on Reina or something along those lines (I have trouble with about 50% of Reinas I run into).
Nice video! I notice you get U1+2 a lot in the first fight which is awesome. If you want high damage with few hits, you can do U1+2, B3, WR 2+4 for a 3 hit, 73 damage combo. King's combos are SO underrated. I don't do any juggles under 64 now and none of them have more then 5 hits (most have 4 or less). He's a BEAST
@abdulkarimelnaas7595 F1+4 as a pickup is badass for sure, but I don’t tend to use it outside of UF4 and WS1+2 because I find it whiffs against females half the time!
Sick video this is teaching me a lot. Tip for wall carry f2, d1, 2 ender is really good especially if the wall is a bit too far. The string is pretty good in neutral as well as each hit can be delayed. Keep up the good work! Loving these rank guides
Yeah I need to use it far more- problem is trying to reverse engineer 3 years of using F21 as the wall carry option- so even when I TRY to do F2D12 the wrong input comes out!
I've just started the video (will continue to watch obviously lol). You was talking about when you platou that you will start to lab characters. I was just wondering if you could possibly offer a video on an objective way to Lab specifically? Not just specific characters or their match ups but a universal guide on what labbing is and how you actually do it? For us noobs. (If you've already done a video like this then forgive my ignorance). Keep the videos coming man, I really do enjoy your style/delivery... no ego involved its refreshing.

Not a king main but nice matches. One suggestion from watching these, I think you should use jab more, and use smaller moves more in general, it helps avoid a lot of shenanigans, you seem to get pressured and bullied in neutral very easily and I think 1 jab and small moves would help a lot to check people, I think it would have helped against the first and last Kaz for example. Paul content would be neat. Its cool to see intermediate level content creators.
Thanks man, you’re totally right- I never realised how much I relied on B1 in T7 to hold my own in the neutral, especially in the Kaz matchup so I should rely more on jabs more.
Correct, just got to be able to do it point blank to hide the run-or learn to dash into giant swing. The best King mains in the world are super good at disguising these two throws!
hope this will help to all king player . when you expect some hit . you could try use muscle armor and tank the damage . then you could do like giant swing , muscle buster , or any throw you like . muscle armor can take deathfist like cake and even ewgf . only weakness is if they hit low which could dismantle muscle armor . use it when they unexpected it . I am just a newbie that love to experiment
I’d argue red ranks doesn’t mean you know how to win. I have a friend who’s learning the game and just got it and he’s Garyu despite not knowing combos yet. It’s 2 players who don’t know the others matchup and someone eventually promotes. Even at mighty ruler it’s still like that. It doesn’t take a lot to rank up currently. You need the most basics of fundamentals
Out of interest what character do they play? I only ask as I don’t think you need potentially great combos to get quite far- for example, how much damage would King’s F21 into heat engager into heat smash do if say the opponent ducks both? 60% of the life bar?
Nice I've been waiting for this, in my ranked climb I was able to get to the next "rank color" before you did the guide (like I was orange when you did the green etc), but now I am completely stuck in garyu ! BTW I'm only 20min in, but I don't see you use wall carry combos, is there a reason other than you didnt lab them? Is it not worth it with king?
Hey, I'm sorry for asking, do you think we could get an oki guide on King? His oki situations are pretty specific (I mean that as in his grabs always have the same oki situation and his general combo ender is also a grab with a specific ending). I'd love to have a bit more info on oki, as keeping the advantage in fgs is pretty important for grapplers and I'm really lacking that knowledge with King. That being said, thank you for all the guides you've done, you helped me a ton through understanding what should I focus on.
I'd also love to see an updated version as I know most of the oki setups for T7 but I think a fair bit has changed since T8 and I've not had the time to lab everything. The general rule is is they stay on the ground or roll to the side then go for a ground throw- D3 his a good low that hits grounded and DF1 will get people who try stand into crouch.
I don't think there's a huge amount there yet- only that you can cancel into block from the 'Jaguar Sprint' now, so it means that if you're in the JS stance and they hit rage art then you can hold back to block it- whereas at the moment if you commit to the sprint and they see you coming then RA will beat all options. If/when they do some big balance changes then I'll probably cover it in detail.

@abdulkarimelnaas7595 When I tried it it came out at 76 which is only 3 more for quite a bit more work. I agree, the chest bump looks cool!

I saw someone who made the sickest 'Grey Fox' custom for Yoshi- and for that alone I want to pick him up some time!

Ive notice isw really helps in the mixup department in fact its makes its impossible for ppl to guess which grab

Against Lars king’s hop knee works wonders if they keep using stances
Thanks for the tip- I’ve heard 90% of the time it’s all ‘fake pressure’ with Lars but I’ve just not gotten around to finding out what is real!

If you do Kings sidestep 2+4cancel, it sidesteps and ducks for you against Azucena.

I was doing a normal shining wizard (While Running 2+4) but because he was airborne, it has a different animation!
