I wonder if they still do make the Peltor COMTAC IIIs, this seems like an interesting kit to have, besides the 3M Peltor arc rail adapter mounts. How are they holding up on you so far?
Got mine from ali express for $21. Compared it to my buddy’s real ones, looks and feels the exact same. Yeah its $21 for china, but at least I didnt pay $100 for 5 pieces of tegris and 2 pieces of plastic.
If you want the mic to be able to rotate, couldn't you just snip that front portion(the single piece without a bottom) that holds the mic and have the mic attached by the back portion alone?
Yeah but then it will wobble A LOT. This system is a good option for peltors but the microphone part is not a good lasting design... i have compromised the small part where the mic holds and now it moves almost freely.

What were the other mounts you had ? I got some off of bits of frost and they were horrible complete garbage couldn’t even mount them
Thise contac mounts are all over aliexpress and sites like that. Just take the arms out of the packs.

I considered doing it with mine, you just saved me that trouble. It really is a wonky solution for the mic at best.
@@PETRAS_ They really should manufacture it with some small holes for screws in that location and a separate bolt on part for the microphone.
