time for the annual re-watch of this!! keep this cultural moment alive, win or lose both artists accomplished some of the MOST incredible feats on the mic of all time in my opinion. so much to learn from this clash just from a musical perspective. and it's cool to watch how my own reactions change and evolve over the years, when they dropped these tracks i sided with Dot but i switched to P in recent years, one of the main reasons being P's punchlines were a lot sharper. Dot overall did awe-inspiring and beautiful work but P was way more destructive and cut straight to the bone with his lines. sucks that the transphobic bars from Dot were included and they haven't aged well at all, it's unfortunate he chose that direction in his approach. but that said, it's these tracks that introduced me to him and both Dot and P are now in my top 10 emcees of all time, rap or grime. all in all, amazing moment to witness. peace to everyone out there still listening to Grime music in 2023 🫶🏻🌏🤞🏻

Here’s the problem with Dot; he’s an unbelievably talented lyricist, and has much potential as an MC. However, he’s a chaotic child who’s fabricated too many wild unauthentic facts about himself. It’s evident to sense there is SOME not MUCH truth in his tracks. This is also supported by how wild he is in picking fights with established grime artists. P has genuine older representatives to authenticate his claims, whereas Dot has his back riding against ‘im alone, so believe me’ which doesn’t hold much weight in the world of logic and reason. Like I said, extremely talented lyricist, however lacks much accountability and growth as a character.
