    Rory and Joe together was amazing.. and even listening to both pods separately you can see they both lack that chemistry.. Rory was like a little Joe and he could carry joes joke deeper and make them funnier Joe new co host lack that sense of humor

    I think rory and mal trusted joe until they realised they wasn’t getting paid properly but I don’t think joe ever trusted rory or Mal to be apart of the actual business side and we kinda saw that when I think it was Elliot Wilson that hit up Rory discussing business and joe didn’t like that. Anywho miss the old pod love the new pod and happy for Rory and Mal

      @@LurnWell we’ve heard mal say multiple times they wasn’t paid what they were owed not what the were expecting there’s a difference and it didn’t go to court because rory and Mal didn’t want to audit the person they looked at as a friend which will also mean they have to pay legal fees and they knew they could do there own thing

    Seems like Rory and Mal have been singing the same tune since the split while Joe tap dances around this question every time it’s presented to him in front of a camera. Can’t claim to know the inter-workings of their dynamic but it just seems that Joe did some sheisty shit that he clearly cant address straightforwardly.

      How? Mal said joe stole from them but has never presented any proof. Claims to know exactly how much was stolen but wants to see tax returns. Claims the money stolen doesn't matter enough to sue for it but it matters enough to continously talk about it. What proof is there to support such claims?

    AND THERE IT IS... FINALLY... Joe didn't trust them enough to bet his brand on it. That I can understand, even though I think he could've leveraged Rory more because Rory was ready to take it to the next level with and for Joe, there was not enough of that in Mal to give him equity in the brand I think.

      It’s factually wrong. They wanted to see accounting information and Joe refused to show them. It has nothing to do with branding because Rory and Mal were able to build a team and have incredible success podcast in their first year. From views, live shows, Patreon, Quality (subjective of course). It’s important to know that Rory helped Joe with the podcast from the very beginning.

This is dude he let stay with him, and Mal is someone who's connections in the industry got Joe out of hot water a few times. But once you open the books to the public, you lose any leverage you would have if there indeed is a lawsuit filed. Besides, I’m not picking any sides because either of them could be bending the truth. But I do know it would be dumb to put any accounting out to the public if and when there’s a dispute. That’s what attorneys are for.

    This was more clarity than either party had offered … without them trusting him and questioning his business showed their lack of trust … with Joe discovering their lack of trust he was offended… Rory was clearly pissed off about Spotify deal because he may not have been as wealthy as joe… short field of view… they took 10 million joe wouldn’t have … because he’s bigger … but for those guys that’s a PAY DAY… that’s the fall out to me … mal got caught in crossfire and said fuck it… they have their own platform now so I doubt there’s any regret …
    Joe doesn’t trust ANYONE TO RUN HIS BUSINESS… not even his mom … he’s not giving up any equity … because that’s gonna pay Lexingtons bills in 20 years … smart move…

    Rory and Mal soon realised the show is called JOE BUDDEN PODCAST! they are lucky Joe brought them along for the ride. Mal is not a good friend ,walking out in support of Rory showed Joe what was simmering for a long time ..... jealousy and envy from Mal and he thought he was powerful enough to halt the show, he saw his monthly paycheck fading away when Joe played his next hand and brought in REAL friends Ice and Ish and now the show is better, we dont have to put up with Mal sitting there miserable and checking his phone every damn minute|!

    I won't lie I had stopped watching the podcast a few episodes before the Rory and Mal fallout because I felt like the other two were riding on Joe's coattails and did not have their own brand (life experiences outside the show) especially Mal he was on there pandering too much it was annoying, what I learnt was autonomy is important in the longevity of a podcast or you need to leverage the fact that you on a well-known podcast into some other business ventures
