A quick tutorial to help add realism to plastic kit windows, giving them a glass look very easily. See my links for more media; linktr.ee/mattys_custom_scale
@@mattyscustomscale true. My point was that you don't have to use green for this. The hue of the glass is dependent on the specific impurities. The most common 3 hues are blue, green, and yellow with green and blue being most common.
That is so simple yet I'm sure it'll make a huge difference
Small details always help a build look good
simply brilliant !
Many thanks!
Imma try this- getting ready to install the glass soon!
Do it! It’s pretty quick and simple
And here was I thinking aircraft "glass" was actually made of Perspex.
Thanks for sharing. I didn't know that trick.
No problem! Enjoy. Hope it helps
Simple and effective!Thank you!
You are welcome! Hope it helps with your builds
Kind of a genius idea, you cold wrap it with black electrical tape if you wanted to imitate the rubber like some people are commenting too
Should work as glass does have the green edging. Just how glass is made.
Thank you, very good.
Welcome!
Thanks this is very helpful.
Great
That is slick!
Cheers
Nice!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for watching! Hope it helps
Excellent video
Thank you very much!
Not exactly sure why you used green🤔 all I’ve ever seen was black trim around the edge of the the windshield and back glass 🤷♂️
It’s not meant to be the rubber surround, it’s meant to shift the natural tint of the glass itself
What if I use a black marker around the edges of the plastic windows! 😀
If you are after the look of the rubber seal, that can work, but check the body it’s going into as the seal may be around the window opening
Not all glass has a green hue. Blue hues are common as well.
I’m sure you could get the effect you want using the same steps and a blue pen
