CathyGo. Without even watching half of this video I can tell you hands down I have never seen so many spectacular colors of Bettas. I am quite the Betta lover too. Good going ! ! !
Thank you very much for posting this. I'm not usually a fish person and didn't even know such fish as the ones featured in your video even existed. They are beautfiul.
Although I'm not happy with just randomly posting a link I read through this website and was very pleased at the info. It's all correct! You even put down the whole "bettas are happiest by themselves" myth.
Lovely fish! Incredible colors, the likes I have never seen. I use to belong to a tropical fish club and never saw anything like these. I have bred angels and other specie of fish but never tired these. I'd love to though. So beautiful!
Wow, what incredibly beautiful Bettas! I just got one 2 weeks ago - named him Sheldon. He's doing great. I didn't know what all those bubbles at the top of his tank were caused by. Boy was I surprised to learn that he made them himself! His very own bubble nest! I thought maybe he was sick or something, Glad to know it is normal for bettas to do this! :)
thanks for posting these amazing photos of the unbelievable variety of these fascinating fish. i have my own Beta fish on my site but nothing like this.
Thank you for your advice. I am always open-minded to learn from others, since I am not an expert and do not know it all. Your ways are obviously different from mine, and I'm sure you have had good success. One thing I will always do, though, is keep it at 78 or above. IMO it's better to be a little too warm than too cold. Bettas thrive in warm water ; they come from the jungle.
@CathyGo your a good person and your talking for real because animals are a living creaturs only the one have a good heart can take car of them.......... ok
@TenaciousBrii Bettas are also known to get constipated, so at least once a week give them a tiny piece of a green pea (cooked one), and don't feed them for at least 2 days after that. If they won't eat it than starve them for a couple days so that he'll be hungry. It won't hurt them, since they can go without food for much longer.
My current female betta just passed away a few weeks ago due to a mystery pathogen. :( She had quite a bit of personality and though she was almost white when I got her at the store she turned out to be a beautiful royal blue.
I've kept bettas in everything from 1g jars to 55 g tanks. Invariably they were happiest with larger more decorated tanks with a community of other fish. I've kept them with several different peaceful to semi aggressive set ups(no gouramis). The only fish I ever had problems with was a peacock gudgeon that I think the betta thought was another male betta. I usually get females for community tanks though I've had males(kept singly) in them too.
i agree. a consistent ph which is somewhat off (meaning different from the ph of their natural habitat) is much better then a ph which fluctuates due to the aquarist constantly fiddling to get it right on the dot. if your water comes out of the tap at 7.3 that's probably gonna be close enough for a betta. don't muck around with ph up and ph down trying to get it at exactly 7. the fish will in most cases adapt to your water especially if the buffering is good. except maybe in extreme cases.
ES EL MEJOR VIDEO DE BETAS QUE HE VISTO¡ te felicito que buena compilacion de fotos y tan ilustrativa de las variaciones de color y variedades de betas :) ;)
I LIKE THE SONG CHOICE SO WHAT IT IT DOES NOT FIT PPL WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY THEY CAN NEVER JUST ISOLATE THE GOOD FROM THE BAD. WELL DONE EXCELLENT VIDEO.
@goibee What are you feeding them? If your female is small or too young you will get very small fry. You need to accomindate for their size if they small by matching them with live food that they can eat. Green water is good start but it'll stick up your tank. Mircoworms are also good source of food for really small fries. Lastly, all fries should be eatting live brine shrimp. Power foods, flakes, or pellets will not do the job.
3:23 min I love that OHM mustard Gas, and 4:08 that HMPK is amazing.. they r a few nice dragons over there.. l really like those splendens! nice video! I'll upload some videos of my boys soon..
These are breeder quality betta fish. Local pet shops don't sell such high quality betta fish. These fish are for dedicated pet owners... like me >:D These fish can cost up to $200 each, maybe even more. They are entered in pet contests
Guppies are live bearers and come out fully formed with all their systems up and running. Egg layers like bettas are a little more touchy and inadequate nutrition as fry tends to have life long effects. Yours are most likely stunted. I've never been a fan of green water(too messy) but microworms kept my killifish fat and happy. Then they were gradually transitioned to that powdered food put out by Hikari, then the micro wafers broke in half. They stayed on the Microwafers the rest of their lives
So pretty! Like little fireworks! They only problem I have, is that you switch pictures too fast, it seems. I'd like to have a little bit more time to look at each one of them. I supose I can just pause a lot. lol
OMG 2:45, beautiful! Reminds me of halloween! 2:52 is kinda creepy looking, its awesome! 2:54 hes wearing a wedding dress! 3:00 and 3:19 look koi-ish 3:29 ITS A RAINBOW! 3:31 its a zebra! MIDGET WITH BIG FINS AT 4:06 4:24 Calico! 5:14 OMG ITS HUGE! 5:34 woah 5:36 omg its goth 5:40 - 5:52 Holy CRAP theyre gorgeous.... I wonder how much they'd cost... LOVE THE ONE @ 5:58 ! 6:20 beautiful! GREAT VIDEO... sorry bout the long post i just wnated to show their greatness...
I've never heard of that many being produced. Always thought 300 was a huge hatch. I don't even want to think about how many jars that means for males a few months down the road. :)
Original music got taken off because of "copyright issues" WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION! I will be removing the video unless I can find a song that fits in better in the crappy little AudioSwap selections. Or I may just remove the music completely if I can figure out how. For now I suggest you mute the music because it sucks.
I got a great looking red half moon on Saturday and this morning he apparently jumped into the over fill went through the hose and got stuck behind the water regulator. Now when my brother gets home I have to tell him that his x-mas gift went Kamikaze.
@TenaciousBrii You're welcome, and here is some more info I have for you that I forgot to add (I haven't kept Betta in a while).Do water change every 2 weeks. (Even if you have a filter.) And get a PH water testing kit ($4 or $5) & try to get the water neutral. I also mentioned plants& they should be real. They can get cuts on their fins & body on plastic ones that could lead to infection.Regarding diet, remember to not overfeed since their stomachs are the size of this star *.That small ! cont-
Audio Swap has gotten MUCH better since when I used it last. New song is too short but I can't find a way to fix it and I don't like any of their longer songs.
No barbs and be careful with tetras(neons) as they tend to nip fins but other than that your options are pretty open. Females generally do just fine with smaller tetras. Some male guppies with very large flowing fins may get picked on by the betta at first but the betta will stop fairly quickly. Some people seem to think that bettas are these special cases who are happiest alone and you have to "oh so careful" at who you put them with. I haven't found that to be the case.
Exactly I love these fish!!!!! They are so beautiful I'm totally blown away just by looking at them!!! My betta is the same and absolutely just as beautiful!!!!
I will not tolerate comments about fighting bettas. I think it's disgusting and cruel. Any arguments will simply be deleted. Given the proper care and SPACE TO MOVE bettas have a great personality and can be an awesome community fish.
Oh my, that beta at 0:42 is gorgeous. My Beta would probably look this good if I could find a way to keep his water just a bit warmer =/ His color fluctuates with the temperature and its kind of weird to see his dark purple body to suddenly turn tan, almost white, and then back again
CathyGo. Without even watching half of this video I can tell you hands down I have never seen so many spectacular colors of Bettas. I am quite the Betta lover too. Good going ! ! !
i had no idea these fish had so many variations in shape and color. AS beautiful as flowers. thank you!
Wow! These fish truly put the splendens in Betta splendens. I am newly arrived in Brisbane and look forward to visiting you in Annerly.

Guys! don't post any rude comments. This person takes fish very seriously! lol

Bettas are so beautiful. If they could live together without killing each other I'd have an aquarium full of them.

There are always awesome bettas on aquabid for a reason, and I doubt it is the reason most people think.
Very beautiful fish.
Greetings from Thailand

So beautiful! You aren't going to find these handsome guys in a plastic cup in Wal-Mart, that's for sure. =D

Wow! Talk about show quality. Gorgeous!

ES EL MEJOR VIDEO DE BETAS QUE HE VISTO¡
te felicito que buena compilacion de fotos y tan ilustrativa de las variaciones de color y variedades de betas :) ;)
i think this is the only betta fish video that ever hit to 1 million views
I LIKE THE SONG CHOICE SO WHAT IT IT DOES NOT FIT PPL WILL ALWAYS HAVE SOMETHING NEGATIVE TO SAY THEY CAN NEVER JUST ISOLATE THE GOOD FROM THE BAD. WELL DONE EXCELLENT VIDEO.
Wow those are so beautiful!
Stunning!
Aquabid is like an Ebay for fish. All of these photos are of bettas that were posted for sale on Aquabid.
@goibee What are you feeding them? If your female is small or too young you will get very small fry. That's my absolute favorite of all of them. :) It looks like feathers.
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!
Wow is the game ever gonna miss Tie. They'll never make 'me like that again. 100% entertainment and heart.
man i love the last 2 male and female bettas!
yea veils get easily more sick than crowns or halfmoons but its worth taking care of. the colors are great
beautiful, i wish they'd get along with each other. a shoal of them would look beautiful in a planted aquarrium.
I absolutely 100% cannot get sick of this vid. I love it so much. Hey Cathy do you have any Bettas?
these Betta strains are beautiful..
These are breeder quality betta fish. Local pet shops don't sell such high quality betta fish. These fish are for dedicated pet owners... like me >:D These fish can cost up to $200 each, maybe even more. They are entered in pet contests
There are always awesome bettas on aquabid. The sad part is that most successful betta breeders cull heavily.
@TheRavenum 5:43 is a crowntail, 5:12 is a halfmoon. Most of the bettas in this video are show-quality and would probably cost a fortune.
So pretty! Like little fireworks! They only problem I have, is that you switch pictures too fast, it seems. I'd like to have a little bit more time to look at each one of them. I supose I can just pause a lot. lol
great photos, and song!! :)
i love these fish. had one before but dident look like those

These are beautiful fish. and i agree they are not dyed. These fish go for at lease $25 a piece minimum if your lucky so they are what you see.
awesome colors.
That's what the pause button is for. :) I don't want to slow it down because the video would get too long.
Its so awesome!! I sooo want many of those : >
Lindos Betas. Muito bom seu video.
Thx
You can let them flare at each other by putting their containers close together but actually letting them meet in the same tank is a bad idea.
o wow i love the beta on 0:43 ♥♥♥ but the others are also so beautiful i love bettas they have such unique personalities
I was kiddin man relax!!! Great Pictures!!!

That fish at 2.54 looks like an angel! Or possible a ghost fish lol. Wow!
Audio Swap has gotten MUCH better since when I used it last. New song is too short but I can't find a way to fix it and I don't like any of their longer songs.
These are Siamese fighting fish, therefore I find the music pretty darn perfect!
If these are betas I had no idea that the breeding has advanced so much to produce such strains of extreme color !
really really beautiful fish!!!
my favorite seller is Aquastar. they have some awesome selection

Cool soundtrack, too.

Let me reiterate. COMMENTS ABOUT FIGHTING BETTAS WILL BE REMOVED! JJJJJesus is now blocked from posting on my videos.
Ohhh good !!!1 Wonderful fishes .....very nice !!!!
Gorgeous Bettas :)
I will not tolerate comments about fighting bettas. I think it's disgusting and cruel. Any arguments will simply be deleted. Given the proper care and SPACE TO MOVE bettas have a great personality and can be an awesome community fish.
WOW! Where do you get such beautiful bettas?

This sucker's electrical. But I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need.
