A great horse for sure, but...There was once a horse who raced about 45 years ago. If you never saw him run you missed it! No horse has ever come close to Big Red.
Since the Belmont Stakes ended Saturday evening, I wonder how many times now Bob Baffert's been asked the question, who's the better horse, American Pharoah or Justify? LOL.
Nice to see how this great horse brought owners from other parts of the world together in friendship... America and China can be partners in bringing friendship and peace to all people

Concerning racing tactics - this is nothing new. Just as in any sport there are tactics that are used as a strategy to try to win. Gronk, used a different strategy that really showed his talent. Over all some horses have greater versatility in racing styles. The tactics used as strategy need to fit the horse's ability. These are top level jockeys / trainers, they know the score about using different tactics or strategies to give their horse the best chance to win. Let's face the facts Gronk used a Zenyatta style move and because of that could have beaten Justify, if Justify was a lesser horse. Any of the others could have tried that move and the Restoring Hope tactic would have been useless. There maybe "dirt" or illegal things that take place in horse racing such as doping etc., but using tactics or strategy is not illegal. Using tactics or strategy just shows you know the ability of your athlete and how best to use those abilities to win.
justify is a paper champion. he beat hardly no one other then good magic on sloppy tracks. ran on sloppy tracks ran loose on the lead, had restoring hope block for him and then they retired . he never beat older horses . probably the worst triple crown winner in history. one that shouldn't have been. he would of lost in the fall and as a four year old. it was all a con job to sell his breeding rights.
