I’ve actually stumbled upon a very interesting reddid thread about this. There was a person who has actually been to a couple of bl auditions in Thailand + there was a disection from a famous expert, but what I got from it was: many people who audition for bl roles are actually lgbt. Disregarding big studios like GMMTV (where they give their bls to anybody and everybody), a big portion of the actors are a part of the community. However, Thailand is not as open as we are let to believe. Same sex marriage is still not legal and Thai lgbt couples can face a lot of discrimination in a workplace / daily life. Many of the actors have / are studying for other jobs and even if they are actually a couple, the moment they say the word “couple” they risk their future. For example, if Earth and Mix are openly dating, Mix may have troubles opening his own vet clinic in the future. Obviously there are exceptions - like YoonTon and ZeeNunew - yes, they are dating, they were even recognised as a couple on the national tv. But they had to be really sure and told us (the fans) about them dating almost a year since they actually started. It’s sad, but that’s the reality of it.
@@liana3886same here! Thai entertainment industry in general I have heard is quite complex let alone be the LGBTQ part. I have heard that in Thai industry even straight couples also try to deny their relationship or say "more than phi nong" most of the time. After so many years of dating they might come out as couple! So now we can understand what could happen with LGBTQ ones! Like they have to be really, really sure if they want to announce themselves as a couple. It's sad 💔 Only the real fans will understand what they are actually! And I guess this is also a reason they have lots of haters/antis as well as they don't/can't really announce about their status openly 💔

In a way this is a confirmation of their relationship and that's enough for me. We all kinda knew anyway but I'm happy that they are comfortable enough to share this little bit of their life.

And to be fair all DMD boys are that close with their pair (and other boys too). Seeing them being good towards each other is good enough for me.
