I picked up an ETB at Walmart and pulled the only 2 cards I wanted from this set…the Perrin SIR and the tatsugiri art rare. I was in disbelief. Done with the set in ONE box!!
I think this is a solid set. There's a ton of really great looking cards in it. A lot of them are of newer mons so it takes time for people to warm up to them. Seems like those who played the DLC have a deeper appreciation for the set. I never played it so I can't say. The tougher pull rates may end up hurting the set's sales down the road. If it's something like ES where there are tons of fan favorite mons it makes sense to make pulls tougher but a set with new mons or not exactly popular mons... not sure how that plays out with these kinda pull rates. I opened 2 PC ETBs and pretty much got hosed. Didn't pull a single chase card or anything of high rarity. It was a bummer of an initial rip but I'll keep chipping away at the set over time.
I attended the pre release tournament for Twilight and got 4th place. The cards I pulled in one build and battle box though were legit! Ace spec scoop up, Eevee art rare, and a gold hammer card! Out of 4 packs!

Yeah I hate this set. A bunch of Masks and fireworks cards ? So there’s no actual good cards like in sword/shield era? Why did they get away from alt arts???
We have opened 1 etb, 1 booster bundle, and 1 (3pack) blister. So far not too bad and we pulled one of our chase cards, the Full art Growlithe. Cant complain. But the set does have some amazing art work 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Honestly i might pass on this set too many ogrepons in that new set n not a fan of it but i said that with temporal forces n ended up being pretty ok with it maybe my opinion will change if i eventually by this set when i change my mind
You guys clearly don’t watch the channel much. He talks about tthings being tight and how he has a few people that buy all the cards off him, as well as ad revenue. He probably stays close to even on the channel. Not positive how much he gets from ads obviously
Just so everyone here knows, I do have a great day job that I love and keeps me very busy, and when I want to let y’all know what I do, then I will tell y’all. I busted my ass and have 2 bachelors degrees, and absolutely love doing what I do now. No, I am not a “trust fund baby” or in sales. If I was a trust fund baby, I wouldn’t have a channel where I open Pokémon cards… I sell 99% of what I open, and the remaining 1% I usually grade and sell or just keep as I don’t think the price on it is correct ($1 trainer cards, etc) and wait for a better price before I sell it. While I appreciate everyone here, I do this because I love sharing these opening experiences without people caring what my day job income is.
Eh, definitely not as hyped for this set as others (which my wallet is really thankful for 😂), but there's a few IR's that I'd like to add to the binder for sure
I am in Capri Italy. The one toy store I found had it! But only in Italian. Instead of buying a pack I can’t read I decided to buy an Italian volume of One Piece instead 😂
i really like this et a lot. I think the art is really nice and theres a lot of art rares and SRs I want to collect so Im definitely going to be slowly trying to get the cards I want. I have gotten one of each product basically.
The names aren't that bad at all and there are goofy pokemon and goofy named pokemon every single generation. Put all Dragapult in a sleeve and top loader, I'm cringing!
Gen 1 & 2 are easily the best. With gen 1 leading the way forever. All these new silly ones are useless IMO. Sparkly shiny with fireworks. Smh 151 is easily the best scarlet and violet set. They need to focus on the O.G Pokemon! The good ones….

Some of the highest pull rates I’ve seen from 60 packs. And batching looks to be better than temporal forces with just one dupe.

Bought a booster bundle.. pull rates seem like crap and didn't like a lot of the cards from this set so doubt i waste anymore money on it

I'm enjoying the new set. There is a lot of great art. I started to play the tcg to help with appreciating the newer Pokemon.
So far I opened 5 booster boxes, 3 etb's, 1 build and battle and 12 blisters and only got 1 Special illustration rare, ouch lol
I opened 1 6 pack box and a trainer box and got 2 teal mask ogerpon ex and 2 legacy energy ace spec cards
