- In this week's video - I upgrade out tool storage by picking up 2 boxes from @harborfreight
I went with the 72" and the 27" boxes - and bolted them together. Simply remove the upper drawers from each box - and bolt them together using the outer bolt holes. The hardware - and the instructions are all included with both boxes.

I wrestled with this box by myself to get it off the pallet, i got free delivery at Christmas time. Then opened the drawer and found the ramp LOL
I knew about the ramp - and of course forgot about it.
Thankfully I didn't need it with the trailer/ramp that I rented.
What casters did you put on the smaller box to make it the same height?
You need the taller casters from the 56 and 72" boxes.

You said taller casters from the 56in or 72in but thats only an 1in differnce but the box height differnce from the 27 and 56 is 2.5in ? So still not seeing how you got it the same height or is it just bolted on with no wheels ?@bonecrrusherSS
I have the 56” and tonight bought the 27”, I did not see taller casters there, though. Did you special order them?
I just have them bolted together for now.
You can order the taller casters off the 56 and 72 box and they will fit the 27.
Love it, just bought my 72" + hutch + side locker in grey too, been 2 weeks waiting now. But i was curious if a 27 could connect but i don't understand connecting them if against a wall, bc what if u dropped something behind, easy pull out 27 grab and go, but not if bolted. At least you have the setup u wanted.
I ordered a hutch using the 15% off coupon this past weekend - so that will take care of dropping anything behind it.
@@bonecrrusherSS yea I used the discount to buy the hutch(15% off) and was lucky enough to get 25% off the 72" bottom box($450 off) and side locker ($100 off). So happy to save $715 from discount sales. I'm just impatiently waiting on delivery. Any idea how long these boxes take to deliver?
I did the same... with the same trailer. Only difference is I kept all the styro and slid the box top over it to protect it from any rubbing. Can't wait to get the top chest.
HF has a 15% off coupon for this upcoming weekend - I might go pick up the hutch.

Glad I watched this video... I was about to go get the 72" husky at HD but it's black on black. This gray and black has good contrast to denote where a drawer stops and the new one begins. You said you spent $1300ish on the 72" but I missed how much you spent on the 27."
I bought that earlier - I think it was 300-ish on sale?

That is a beautiful tool-box, I just bought the 30" tool cart in the same color, the best color Slate Gray. I did not have the budget for anything bigger but maybe in time.

I’m looking at doing this but the 27 height per website is shorter than the 72. Are the casters still on the 27?

do you think a 56 and a 27 bolted together will roll around a shop floor easily?

I mean that gets to be almost 70"+ in length.

I have an 84 C10 that I drove through high school that will be getting a frame off restoration that I’ve been itching to get started.

Found it in SC an hour from me.
It's literally on sale right now until 5/2 and it's one you can actually add to cart, unlike mine I had to buy in person and still waiting on delivery.
My local store had the 27” cart. If you look online under US General you’ll find it. If you look on the app I only could find it under member deals. It’s a much better way to go in my opinion than the 15” add on as you get much bigger capacity and wider drawers for only $60 more than the side add on.
