Of those 12 drivers, four can read a road sign over 400 feet. Therefore 3/12 simplified becomes 1/4 of drivers over 65 can read the road sign at over 400 ft.
Answer for calculator question no. 6a is wrong. it should be 3/12= 1/4, as the question is asking about the fraction of the drivers over 65 years of age who can read signs at over 400 feet. you mistakenly calculated total number of drivers above 400 feet.
