I got the opportunity to work with Cardiopulmonary Rehab Nurses (Inmpatient & Outpatient), Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Telemetry Nurses and I have seen the wonders of what Plavix can do for the heart if taken as prescribed.

Favorite med is Sprycel only because it's super rare and weird and I get to be one of the lucky one's who not only get to learn about it but also get to take it lol
Probably statins! The reason why is because here in the US, one of the most prescribed meds and I did some work in public health with cardiovascular health prevention. As a newbie nursing student in her 1st month though...it's because I'm learning about these in health assessment and med surg...so knowing what these are and how it affects the body rather than purely a public health standpoint. ^_^ I will say this, in the US I"m in an ABSN prgm (accelerated bachelors of nursing), so each class is like 5 weeks long instead of 16 weeks...picmonic...will help me definitely!! :)
They're both good for different purposes: the pharm flash cards are good for clinical, as a replacement for a drug guide since every single medication is in there, whereas the Mosby's cards are more for studying purposes since they only have about one medication per class and the information is much less in detail! But they have mnemonics which help you remember the information way better :)
Ahh!!! Second semester nursing student here! Hehe~ Ahm... My favorite medication is... IRON! I have iron deficiency and iron helps me so much!! I feel not so tired and look and feel healthy!!

I'd say DEC because all the information is so new and there's os much of it! University is more of a review mixed in with some theoretical things lol! I usually only work every second weekend sit's really not that bad, I get all my stuff done (if I don't procrastinate haha) on my weekend off :)

But actually I have never tried any science subs except the physics that i did in my highschool... :'( Do u think the student who didnt really studied science subjects can possibly catch up in nursing school? I am so scared that it would be too hard for me to catch up... Thankss
Absolutely! There is usually hardly any sciences in nursing, except for biology of course :) But I know many people who did not have a science background and did just fine! :) It all depends on which school you attend, I would recommend finding out which classes your uni requires you to take before applying, just to have a general idea of what you will be studying :)
jessica M always try to link the meds you learn with the diagnosis you're seeing in med-surg! It'll be lots of work to have both at once but it will definitely benefit you :)
