At the end of the day, the One Direction breakup was the best thing that could’ve happened to his career. Now he has his own festival, tour, clothing line, and he seems far more confident.
louis has a very dedicated fan base, many believe he may not be “the most talented” but his fan service & the way he interacts with them is very important to him.
Loui has the heart and soul in his voice and his write Loui can inside in your soul without to pretende it to do it … because he is natural, authentic, and he write of a form so delicate, fine, flow in the air his escense and imagination and he to transmite deeply the thing that he wants to say in a song, the people to connect with him immediately So many young girls and so many many many adults people loves him! He has something inexplicable This quality is not to find in the others boys , perhaps they can be more extensive the range in the voice but this is not enough to say there are talented Harry yes, have a so beautiful charisma and a good voice but too he has an a impressive aparte of marketing
Besides Zayn, he’s easily my favorite. Something that made 1D so popular was their friendship with one another, and how playful they were during concerts. and seeing the early interviews and video diaries, he was definitely the one that helped them all be comfortable w each other. And poor bby has been through alot🥺but I love how well and successful and happy and confident he seems now. Their performances sound weird without him, his unique voice held the chorus together. He was the one who pushed for them to write their own songs and have that creative freedom. He was the one I feel everyone was close to. Louis Tomlinson was the glue of One Direction💙
This is really sad, because Louis is literally one of the sweetest and most talented sing/songwriters out there. He wrote most of the One Direction songs. His voice is soft and beautiful, perfect for songs. He has this raw voice which I love a lot and I hope he finally receives the positivity he deserves❤❤his solo albums are also were lovely and amazing to listen to❤
It's sad that this dynamic seems inevitable with pop groups. Leigh-Anne from Little Mix felt invisible for years; in her autobiography she said fans would run straight past her to greet the other girls. Michelle from Destiny's Child had the "poor Michelle" meme in 2015 because she so often looked isolated and left out. Frankie from the Saturdays rarely ever sang on their tracks: on a lot of their songs her vocals don't appear at all. She later admitted in an interview that she thought she was added just for her image. Ally from Fifth Harmony tended to get the least solos and media attention. There's probably other examples!
Yes but honestly speaking, Frankie and Mollie are both weak singers. Frankie was the weakest one of the group by far. I mean I heard her singing on I'm a celebrity and it was just awful. When she was pregnant and not in the group for some time, no one really missed her voice. She can dance and was good looking but the Saturdays had 3 main singers and Mollie and Frankie basically made the group better looking and more "diverse". But just judging the vocals; it could have been a trio the entire time. Rochelle, Una and Vanessa
Minzy from 2NE1 as well (a kpop group btw). She got the least attention out of all the other members, not to mention she was never even given a solo song.
also he was a HUGE part of their song writing and never gets enough credit for that. I’m so proud of him (and Niall, who’s microphone was turned down or off and was also mistreated and left out) have come. He’s selling out tours, and shows all over the world. #1 albums, I’m just so proud.
Louis is definitely one of the most underrated artists, his voice is just so unique and amazing. Especially to songs like "Rock Me" by One Direction, you can hear the significant of his voice in the songs. Furthermore, he is also such a huge part of a lot of One Direction's hit songs. He honestly deserves so much more credit than what he gets. 💙
Louis was always my favorite when I was younger, and I really like the solo stuff that he's released so far and I'm really proud of what he's achieved :')
Louis deserves the world tbh. I hate how he gets treated, he's never done anything wrong. He's thriving and he will continue to do so and I'm so proud of him. My favorite one from 1D and he deserves credit, he's wrote so many bangers for the band and so many people act like he hasn't. If it weren't for Louis, that band would have been boring af too.
Its really sad Louis felt like this. I know it was painful when they split but damn now as an adult, I'm not mad they decided to go separate ways because while I'm sure the boys all cared for one another the group was absolutely destroying them mentally. Louis was always seen as the sassy and cheeky one in the group, but I wish people had paid more attention to his vocals and the fact he wrote the most in the group. If you haven't listened to his solo work, please do his music is really good and I feel like he has the most unique sound among their solo work.
If anyone hasn't listen to Louis I really suggest listen to his second album Faith in the Future, has a lot of different songs from pop rock to more rock to ballad to dance music. I honestly feel like it has a little bit of everything and you probably will find more that one song that you like. The lyrics are beautiful and hopeful. His voice sounds amazing and the sound of this album is so good. Give it a listen if you can.
Louis has always been my favorite, he’s such a sweetheart, he’s loyal to his fanbase and so resilient and dedicated to his craft, his songwriting is so personal and beautiful I love love him!!!
I remember thinking that Louis might not have been the most distinct out of them in terms of singing, but as a group and on especially the choruses, you can how much Louis’ voice makes the rest of their voices sound so much better together. He wasn't my favourite singer in the group but the level of support he provided to their overall sound was undeniable. And then he finally took lead chorus on No Control it absolutely slapped as I’m sure every knows. He always seemed the most mature and reflective one, being the oldest, happy he’s found his footing and made peace with himself as a person and solo artist
Louis's solo song Two of us was what got me to overcome my prejudice of English music and now I have listened to love so many songs. Plus, the way he overcame his insecurities, personal life setbacks, being an underdog to finally realising his worth and doing what he loves is very inspiring
Louis has the most organic growth and success imo not saying that the rest of the boys doesn't have organic growth. They all are successful in their own way and in their own genre. Success is subjective and I think louis's success and his journey has been the most satisfying to witness. Love this man so much ❤
I don't know if anyone remembers 1D video diaries, but if you do, you've probably seen Louis being the clown in group (I mean it in a positive way, like he was the one who brought all fun in the band) and it's sad that he experienced the feeling of being left out and not being important to the band even though he was writing the most songs for the band. 💘
Imo Louis makes better music compared to his former band mates... His songs may not be hits but their message and just overall vibe makes them memorable and enjoyable❤️
I doubt that one direction would be what it is without him. Those last three albums are exceptional. 12years out they are still relevant, band chemistry & work ethics are unmatched. Musically there is always another level to there song esp since Liam passed. He is the brains of 1directions.
i never was a 1d fan but my best friend became a huge fan of his and showed me his music. He is so talented and genuinely charming! I saw him live and it was amazing. I will continue supporting his solo career
I agree with everyting you said on the video. Now that everyone is on their solo careers you can realize it was for the best. Every member can now shine on their own and on their own terms.
my best friend introduced him to me a year ago bc she had a spare ticket for his concert hahaha and now I´m such a fan, he is great!! Now I recommend his music to others, he might not get a lot of promo but mouth to mouth is how i think he is getting more recognition organically
As a 1D fan since the beginning, I’m proud of where Louis is today. Throughout the group, him and Liam gave us so many great songs in their discography. Now, he’s had his own solo success. It’s easy to compare the boys to one another but they’re each doing their own thing and happy. I’m glad they’ve each grown more confident as they’ve gone their own ways.
if you look at his more recent interviews and the success of Faith In The Future, you'll see how he's overcome this and is now highly successful in his own right. The album recently rejoined the Official Charts a whole year after its debut, and he just finished the 4th leg of his sold out worldwide tour. He's going to AUS, Asia and LATAM in 2024 and playing in 10 festivals and counting all across Europe in summer 2024.
Louis alao brought the personality and fun in the group in my opinion. He always had the funniest quips in interviews. I think without him I wouldn't have stayed a fan throughout all five albums.
When he was in 1 D the interviewers called him Mr. Banger or Mr.hits maker. But he tried not to make his own music sounded like 1D. He's back to his roots. He knew it's not radio's favorite but he still made it. The talented man never made bad musics. Go..Lou💙
He's on a beautiful journey on his own now and has achieved so much. The maturity in faith in the future, this beautiful concept he's drawn with the away from home festivals and his growth as an artist and a person which is perfectly captured in his movie all of these voices! These are things that you could have added on. It sounds one dimensional to only talk about his inseucrities without letting on about how he's overcoming them. His growth and attitude is definitely one to look up to.
faith in the future is literally perfection. this album is so good. the lyrics, the production, the vocals. and the whole album is so cohesive. he's really stepping into his own lane and im so proud.
Niall was also unnderrated, and was called out by 1D fans saying he was ugly and shouldnt be in the group. He was reduced to tears several times. I think that a lot of singers have to gain a thick skin due to members of the public berating them, sometimes as a means of achieving more support for their favourite. I was always of the opinion that Louis was more popular than Niall
Louis's solo music is my favourite. Faith in the future was my favourite album this year. His voice has a rasp to it that I love! And his song writing is amazing. He wrote the most songs in one direction.
he doesn't give himself enough credit. If left to Simon, they would've made generic bland cookie cutter songs for all their albums. He pushed One Direction into a more mature tone, of course they weren't able to make the songs they wanted and had that boy group sound (probably because they got push back from the label) but he was able to realize that they were growing up and so were their fan base so it didn't make sense for them to keep the same sound for every album. The changes and growth of the band happened because he pushed for it.
That's very true. Sadly I think the fact that he was underrated in the group didn't come only from a lack of trust in his abilities from his management, but also was a manipulative way to control him. Have you seen his documentary?
I hate how much Louis put himself down here’s one thing Louis contributed to the band He had so much natural charm and you could tell if you watch any video and he was super funny and his thick voice really rounded out the sound one direction had he was so important
I did not know he was in the group until 2020. That's when I realized 1D had a fifth member. It's so funny to think that Harry Styles is the most successful member of 1D because to be honest I always thought it would be Zayn especially in 2016 when PillowTalk came out & I thought he was going to be a breakout r&b star BUT I was wrong. I also thought Niall would have a substantial solo career BUT I was wrong about that too. Anyway Louis is a good artist I like his songs Silver Tongues , Bigger Than Me , and Out Of My System. I'm still so surprised that Louis was a member of 1D because I always thought there was only 4 members & I'm still surprised that Zayn did NOT reach star level status by now. In my mind he should be bigger than Harry Styles right now or at least on the same plainfield
I never understood this belief Louis had the weakest voice or that he would be the lesst successful. I found his voice the most unique and I’ve seen him live. Dude can sing! His music speaks to so many.
Crazy thing is him and Zayn were the only tenors in the group. The other three had baritone (heavier) voices in thw group. I find it odd they let Zayne take on most if the higher notes in the songs, when Louie has the voice to sing the same notes. However they had harry sing the secondary tenor notes in their songs. Obviously zayne and harry are more vocally gifted in their singing, but if they werent confident in Louie's voice to sing lead. Then utilize her vocals to sing the background vocals at the very least. I feel bad for him, not like he cant sing at all. Its just his light sounding tone mustve not been marketable in the eyes of 1D's label.
louis waited so long to release it because he was the only one in the band who really thought that it was just a break and that they would all come back
I love Louis!! I went to one of his shows over the summer and it was so fun and he sounds amazing live! Also he’s so hot in person lol I thought he’d be smaller than he is
Both the fans and the professional musicians know how good he is. He's one of these singer with a very peculiar and recognisable voice. One of his main qualities is to be able to express raw emotions and vulnerability in his singing-it's not about technic, it's not about power, but his voice strikes right in the heart. He's a wonderful song-writer too. Sad that he was not more valued in 1d, because that what made the success of that band: all the 5 were extremely good vocalists. Before them, a boyband would be 1 lead singer and "the other boys": in 1d, each had their own qualities and personality and harmonized wonderfully. I think the better songs of 1d are the one were each one has a particular moment. Harry's voice is powerful, Zayn has incredible riffs and high notes, Liam is fluid and capable to sing anything, Niall adds a folky vibe and Louis brings lighteness and emotions and was able to give a punk-rock color to a boyband that was very bubble-gum pop at the beginning. I think part of Louis' frustration at the end of the band was that he saw a huge unexploited potential yet to achieve. Fortunately he was able to take his power back and make it happen for himself. He's really worth it, he's a great singer able to carry so much emotions through his voice, his lyrics are raw poetry, he's a rockstar on stage, the way he drives the crowd is very direct and authentic, seeing him live gives a feeling of intimacy and closeness even in a 20k+ crowded arena. I wish he would get more recognition from the gp. I feel that he still pays now the position they put him in 1d; that despites his success he's not taken seriously as an artist. Luckily his fans are loyal and ready to carry him to where he deserves to be.
@tickHillgram5 yes, woah, the giants steps he takes. 5 months ago I was writing that, and now he performed I'm front of a 70k crowd? The amount of work he puts out there is phenomenal. Next is the festival season, hopefully the gp falls in love with him as well
There could be equal singing in a Group if management actually wanted it. Little Mix is the perfect example. All of the girls got to sing on their songs and got to shine vocally. Perrie even declined being referred to as the 'lead singer' during their X Factor Days.
I think Louis Tomlinson is a pretty good solo artist. He's my second most favorite soloist from 1D after Zayn. His songwriting is vulnerable and poignant and his music in general shows a whole lot of potential for further artistic growth. As a performer, i think he is better now than he was before. He only needs to have more confidence on himself for what he is capable of achieving. He's on a right track i shall say.
Always felt sorry for him. Naturally he is the most funny, almost the "main character". Most of us would admit the reason we started to like 1d is not the music or their looks, but because those video diaries and funny moments videos where their personality would shine. But for some reason the management never like to put him in the spotlight (same thing with Niall). Always the least solo, least attention.
Louis Tomlinson’s voice made their harmonies; I don’t think they’d have been successful without him. FITF is my favorite album… haven’t liked anything as much as this in 10 years. I thought Harry’s House took that top spot and then FITF came out.
I gotta admit i loved 1D and Louis was my favorite, but i dont really follow them now and had no idea he ever released an album. Last i saw from him was so meh features. Definitely need to give him a second look, especially hearing he had the most writing credits of the group.
He released 2, but it took a long time for him (5 years) bc unfortunately he went through some personal tragedies. Right after the disband, he lost his mother. He wrote her a song, "Two of us". He later shared that he was unable to write any music before he let it all out through this song. Two years later, his 18yo sister passed away from accidental OD. She had never recover from her mother's death... His first album came out in 2020 and his second in 2022. You should give it a go in the order he created them: first, Walls, which is sensible and intimate, then Faith in the future, which has the same qualities but take them on a powerful level of energy. Both are worth it, I hope you'll enjoy
Hey Honest Can u please make a video on George Michael next & his impact on the music industry & his artistry or maybe like a documentary about his life & contributions to music
Excuse me but what. Lou’s voice is amazing. He has talent song writing but his voice deserved to be heard The attitude management had toward him still makes me sick. They could have destroyed him but they didn’t so that proves his strength and his talent. No offence to the other members but he also had/ has the best personality. The band would have been dull with out him
He was most definitely left out because in all their songs during their days on the Band i have never seen Louie start the song he hardly had verses to sing.
He really was. I was today years old when I found out he wasn’t included on the debut single. I think that their management didn’t think he could sing that well but kept him in as filler
@@bez26 tbh i just remember Harry, Niall and Zayn definitely being at the forefront most of the time. but looking at their discographies Louis seems like he has way more going for him than Liam (i only listen to Harry)
@@bez26he was while the band was together. As a massive fan back then, I’d rank their popularity as harry>zayn>niall>louis>liam. Louis and Liam has the least amount of fans when they were together
@@EDeeDeeSI remembered it was literally a thing that niall and louis were given the lowest line distributions. As albums went on and Niall improved his vocals, he got more solos, but Louis was still pretty much left off most songs other than a few verses until they gave him more lines to fill in zayn’s absence
That's because people just like to hate for no reason. Every single one of the boys are talented in their own ways. Once people start hating on someone from a group, the hate starts to become bigger and bigger because people just want to be a part of something, especially for fandom stans. People just think it's fun to single one of them out and treat them the worst out of the group. That would be Harry's fans, Louis second fandom.
I looked at the thumbnail and read the beginning of the title and asked myself “who’s that?” Then I read the rest of the title and I was like “oh damn I really forgot about him…”😅
Firstly, Louis never mentioned being jealous of Harry’s success. That notion seems to stem from a misinterpreted article. If you take the time to watch the original interview, it’s evident his words were twisted. Secondly, comparing the success of the members solely based on singles is flawed; Louis had the second-best tour after Harry. Moreover, Louis holds a Guinness World Record. Show some respect when you mention his name.
sorry but i'm always surprised to see louis can sell out stadiums in certain places. hes not mainstream at all now and his last hit was back to you in 2017.
that's because he has a loyal fanbase and has real fans unlike most mainstream artists. You're obviously not a fan so it would make sense why you think he wouldn't sell out stadiums. Any fan of Louis knows he can do it. On top of that Louis has proved that you don't have to be mainstream to sell out arenas/stadiums.
"friendship" riiiiight lol Anyone with some sense knew something was going on between them. I mean harry himself even confirmed they dated at one point.
@@mykittystinksbad2ikr?? There's no way they were just "friends" like let's be serious for a sec I thought everyone knew larry were real atp 😅 but ig they were both too young for a serious relationship
@@Florsdaughter I tried to post the link to the vid but the comment keeps getting deleted. Just search 'Harry Styles admits that he and Louis Tomlinson are dating. The vid is him at a fan signing and the fan asks if he and Louis are dating and he shook his head yes and said "yup".
Actually no. Larries are completely separate from Louis real fandom because they're obviously not his real fans considering how badly they treat him. If you're a real fan of someone, you wouldn't want to disrespect the person you idolize or harass their friends and family. Any "fan" that does that to someone they stan aren't real fans. So yes, Larries are toxic but they're only a "fan" of Louis because of Larry so they're not really his fans.
Yet you were here, hmm...at the end of the day, he's successful and living his dream while you're hating on him but watching videos that has to do with him too lmfao.
At the end of the day, the One Direction breakup was the best thing that could’ve happened to his career. Now he has his own festival, tour, clothing line, and he seems far more confident.

I think that a lot of singers have to gain a thick skin due to members of the public berating them, sometimes as a means of achieving more support for their favourite. I was always of the opinion that Louis was more popular than Niall
Which is crazy as well, when you think about it. Niall sang some legendary parts in 1d, like in Little things
Louis's solo music is my favourite. Faith in the future was my favourite album this year. His voice has a rasp to it that I love! And his song writing is amazing. He wrote the most songs in one direction.
at least he is touching some major royalties from those 1D songs
I appreciate how honest he is. That has to be so hard to open up about
He went to another direction
💀
This joke will always make me giggle
He most definitely left out. Nobody took note of his singing. He's unsung as a songwriter.
Louis and Liam started to write songs since the second album!
he doesn't give himself enough credit.
Louis was always my favorite member of One Direction
This is relatable and understandable this is the reason why I'll never be a pop group and I know how it feels to the lonely individually
I’m just happy that he’s selling out his worldwide tours. His albums also got a moderate success in UK.
Actually, Faith in the future toped N°1 of the Official charts. Even his success is underestimated
I hate how much Louis put himself down here’s one thing Louis contributed to the band
He had so much natural charm and you could tell if you watch any video and he was super funny and his thick voice really rounded out the sound one direction had he was so important
Wow. That says a lot about how unsupported he was 💔
@@bluemelody... Yeah it does
@@donjai9366 I'm glad you discovered him as a solo artist. His music is definitively worth it
We never know what is around the corner ? Don’t you think Louis ❣️
So right! shows, just this ladt week in Mexico, over 150k people heard him.
Yes, and 1d would have been perfect for that, bc they all had distinctive voice. The songs where each one had their vocal moments are great.
TLC GOT good management as well
I think Louis Tomlinson is a pretty good solo artist.
Now "don't let it break your heart" hits different
Just love Louis he is such a special human❤️
he wrote Story Of My Life? He carried far as I'm concerned.....
i clicked on this so fast
I know he and Harry hated "Larry", but it was such an impact! Couldn't imagine a 1D without him
Excuse me but what.
The modern day Posh Spice. 😢
He really was. I was today years old when I found out he wasn’t included on the debut single. I think that their management didn’t think he could sing that well but kept him in as filler
Louis is my favorite 💙
there's always a least popular member of the group
I thought that Liam was the least popular lol
Louis - the guy from the shadow that made it all work. That made concerts fun. He could sing me a telephone menu and I would cry of emotions
It was clear since 2012 during glory days.
His documentary is very good
I agree with everything he said as an OG directioner
thank god one direction no longer exists and louis have his own solo career.
I feel bad for Louis, I really do 😔
Louis is the leader of one direction he is heart and soul of one direction God I love Louis so much
I love you, Louis William FREAKING Tomlinson 💙
some of those quotes are taken directly from his film All of Those Voices Damnnn u did research!!
Can a review of his albums be done?
This is why I don’t stan groups,, it’s the breakup that always ruins meee
i love louis solo music endevour ❤
I don't see these boys, any of them get jealous of each other especially Louis.
Awesome 🤩
Very few reality TV stars have decent musical abilty.
Me and my friends always thought he had the best tone in one direction
I looked at the thumbnail and read the beginning of the title and asked myself “who’s that?” Then I read the rest of the title and I was like “oh damn I really forgot about him…”😅
listen to his album you will be surprised
Firstly, Louis never mentioned being jealous of Harry’s success. That notion seems to stem from a misinterpreted article. If you take the time to watch the original interview, it’s evident his words were twisted. Secondly, comparing the success of the members solely based on singles is flawed; Louis had the second-best tour after Harry. Moreover, Louis holds a Guinness World Record. Show some respect when you mention his name.
He’s even doing better than Liam and Zayn from the albums’ perspective too.
#louies
sorry but i'm always surprised to see louis can sell out stadiums in certain places. hes not mainstream at all now and his last hit was back to you in 2017.
that's because he has a loyal fanbase and has real fans unlike most mainstream artists. You're obviously not a fan so it would make sense why you think he wouldn't sell out stadiums. Any fan of Louis knows he can do it. On top of that Louis has proved that you don't have to be mainstream to sell out arenas/stadiums.
I miss his and Harry’s friendship. I think with all the ships and we can’t forget about Euphoria’s fanfiction, it totally damaged their friendship 😢
Its literally the larries fault
"friendship" riiiiight lol Anyone with some sense knew something was going on between them. I mean harry himself even confirmed they dated at one point.
@@mykittystinksbad2ikr?? There's no way they were just "friends" like let's be serious for a sec
I thought everyone knew larry were real atp 😅 but ig they were both too young for a serious relationship
@@mykittystinksbad2um where did he ever confirm that?
@@Florsdaughter I tried to post the link to the vid but the comment keeps getting deleted. Just search 'Harry Styles admits that he and Louis Tomlinson are dating. The vid is him at a fan signing and the fan asks if he and Louis are dating and he shook his head yes and said "yup".
What a shitty vid, he didnt say he was jealous they twisted his words and the break up of that band was the best thing for him anyway
His fandom is pretty toxic full of larries.
And why you're here?
Another larry leave that man alone.@@panneetantinukul5658
Actually no. Larries are completely separate from Louis real fandom because they're obviously not his real fans considering how badly they treat him. If you're a real fan of someone, you wouldn't want to disrespect the person you idolize or harass their friends and family. Any "fan" that does that to someone they stan aren't real fans. So yes, Larries are toxic but they're only a "fan" of Louis because of Larry so they're not really his fans.
never liked him cos he was annoyingly loud and obnoxious... besides he can't sing el oh el
Yet you were here, hmm...at the end of the day, he's successful and living his dream while you're hating on him but watching videos that has to do with him too lmfao.
