I used to struggle with six markers! Four marks out of six is indeed a good starting point and in any case, you shouldn't spend too much time on one question as you might run out of time. Also, I love the thumbnail XD!!
Been doing some 6 markers, this video has help, especially using bullet points as you ensure that you explain all the physics principles in a logical order. Been getting 4+ marks on all of them now!
@@zerereka Hi, I got alot of the 6 markers from the new spec past papers as well as doing the old edexcel spec ones (these are on PMT as well). Looking back on it I would also use ankii as well to have some "default answers" which hit the required points as some stuff often seems to come up. For this the topic exam questions on PMT are useful! Apart from that Lewis also does some Live streams on past paper walking talking mocks/tutorials which i found helpful.
Thanks for this video Lewis, you gave some great advice which I am going to use when revising, doing tasks, or in day to day life I work as a customer service assistant at the co op and I’m going to start breaking things into smaller and more manageable tasks rather than doing things in one big go. Thanks for the advice once again Lewis 😊I start an insurance job and the tips which I have learnt in this video will help a lot And for any student who has a physics exam in the coming months, it’s alright if you don’t get the grade you need. From year 7 - year 11 I was on a grade 2 in maths, ( I know it’s a different subject to physics ) but in 2020 - 2021 I decided to study maths GCSE at college and got a grade 4! There is always the re site which you can do if you don’t get the grade you need The main thing to remember is to follow Lewis’s advice which he gives such as doing tasks in smaller, manageable chunks, if you have a 6 mark question then try and aim for 4/6 marks with 4 bullet points as it makes the question seem way less daunting. My physics teacher did the same with the longer answer as Lewis is doing when he went through a practice paper with my physics class
Thanks lewis for this advice. But does this video also apply for 4 marker and 3 marker questions. I really need help with these wordy questions !!! can you help me !!? thanks
I have a question. I do Edexcel a level physics where many 6 markers give points for the quality of written communication. How do you recommend I structure my answers?
Hi! Can I ask if I get asked to resolve components of an object on an inclined plane, do I resolve the weight into components or the reaction force into components? Since they will give different answers. I’m doing the AQA exam board. Thank you in advance.
In a sense the six mark questions are easier. You can be almost entirely wrong and get 1/6 for the same reward (1 mark) as getting a multiple choice question 100% correct.
@@zachselis1623 Mathematically, that 1 mark gained on a 6 mark question is of equal value in calculating your final grade as the 1 mark gained from getting a multiple choice question right. So I really don't think it's delusional.
@@jameskonefal3453 I think it's better to think of it as the equivalent of getting 1 multiple choice questions correct out of 6. You wouldn't necessarily be happy with that. I can see where youre coming from but for me it should be the percentage of marks you get on the question as opposed to marks gained which is fairly arbitrary when looking at each individual question
Have to start studying 25 hours per day :')
bro literally or else I'm gonna fail

Thanks lewis, getting 4/6 would be a great improvement from 1/6 😂

Great advice, Lewis! : )
been stressing so much about these 6 markers thank you so much for this!!
Love seeing this video when I know I have to finish my PAG. Thank you+
Wonderful tips. Really helpful.
a bit worried that a UK teacher has live ammuniton but other than that a great vid
Just making sure he’s students get those A* 😌
hahaha!
Thank you so much!
Hi Lewis. I was wondering if you could go through an OCR gateway combined science Physics paper.
Got my as level exam tmrw,
Noice confidence boost 💪💪💪
i aim to get straigt 9s in gcse what should i do for 6 markers as i probably need all 6 marks or atleast 5
Are you going to do an Edexcel 2020 A-level paper livestream?
Thanks lewis for this advice. But does this video also apply for 4 marker and 3 marker questions. I really need help with these wordy questions !!! can you help me !!? thanks
Just aim for 2 or 3 marks, rather than aiming for perfection. You’re much more likely to given them a go - especially when you’re revising.

Usually it’s the component of weight resolved parallel and perpendicular to the slope.
mg sin theta parallel to incline and mg cos theta perpendicular to plane .. if theta is the angle between plane and horizontal.
can you do a ocr a paper 3 walkthrough because paper 3’s are so difficult
I’ll do that on Monday in my livestream from 6.30!
@@PhysicsOnline thanks for the reply, will see you there!
Do u think that the gcse grade boundaries this yr will be higher than 2019?
Right as I have 2 6markers to do due tmr
Ty!! ❤️❤️
Lewis sir, is this also same for Edexcel AS physics unit-1?
Can you please go through AS LEVEL PHYSICS related electricity questions from past papers,
Let me guess, OCR A?

So you will not be penalized for writing in bullet points in a level?
Correct.
Very late but at 4:05 you should have said "more mass is melted per minute" not second since the axis is in minutes.
If the mass melted per minute is increasing it must also be increasing per second (since gradient is constant) :)
I think we should take repeat readings
bullets?
I literally slack in gcse chem
Exam is in this May
Can anyone kindly suggest me someone for chem :”)))
Umm why does he have real bullets
I’ve got loads of random things in my studio!

In a sense the six mark questions are easier. You can be almost entirely wrong and get 1/6 for the same reward (1 mark) as getting a multiple choice question 100% correct.
But you lose out on 5 marks with the 6 marker. With subjects like maths and physics you should think about marks dropped not gained
@@zachselis1623 I disagree - it is a more positive and optimistic mindset to focus on the marks gained.
