Thank you Billy. I have a Cowboy 4500 and just love Ryan! He spent an entire day fine tuning my machine. One thing I have forgotten is how to change thread tension when I go from saddle skirts to holsters to wallets. I'm having issues with the thread bulging on the bottom. Any suggestions how to fix that?
That is a tension issue. I was having the same trouble. There are multiple videos on YT on adjusting tension. None of them worked for me. I took out my whole bobbin assembly and the spring, then put it back together and everything started working again.
What size thread would you recommend in this machine where it's running happy? Personally I've had issues with 138 for bags and chaps. 207, 277? Or higher? Thanks brother
I have a Cowboy Cobra class 26 and can do basic stitching with good results with one exception: when sewing lighter weight leather (two pieces of 3-4 oz), which requires a significant adjustment to the thread and possibly the bobbin tension. The only video I have found on this is for a non-industrial machine that has a simple adjustment wheel with a numbered index. Not very useful for industrial machines. There has to be a repeatable method for making these adjustments reliably. Do you know of such a video? or can you make one?
I'm looking into getting the cb3200. From what i see here, malfunctioning does happen on the CB. I have a juki 5550 and consew 227. Both occasionally have malfunctioning issues. I guess this is part of the business of sewing on complex machines. This is the part of sewing that can really ruin the rhythm of production work.
Hi Billy, saw your video about 1 year ago and bought a cowboy 5500. Ryan is a really great guy and I am very pleased with my machine. How are you finding your machine?
thanks Billy, nice tip on the magnetic hooks along with all the other info
Good informative video! Thanks

I run 277. I buy my thread from the Thread Exchange.

So far so good. I have sewn super heavy projects and light leather that it should not do. Love it.
Hi Billy thanks for the tutoring but I have a question how I can feed the bovine?

You called that sowing machine "Cowboy " is that made by Tippmann? And where did you get the sowing machine? Nice pointers on the sowing machine.
It is indeed a Cowboy machine. Not a Tippman. There is a direct link in the description.
Is that a picture of the revolutionary Pancho Villa if it is "Viva Villa".
turn it around.
