Game isn't p2w unless it's the first few months where the best you can get are gold cards, but you can get icons by buying packs. People are getting red Mbappe and Bellingham by getting 9 wins. You can easily make coins with some overnight trading and use the coins the buy good players or store packs. I never spent a cent and have a team as good as anyone in Div 1 or Elite.
Yeah, same here. I never spent a penny in over 10 years of UT and always was a Div 1-2 player (Div 1 atm). I play casual cuz I got not much time anymore (work, family, kids), but its possible. You need some pack luck, I choose always untradeable rewards and don't trade or play weekend league, but I got Gold Mbappe, TOTY Dias, RTTF Kroos, TOTS Saint-Maximin, many more TOTS cards like Isco, Araujo, Clauss and you also got many SBCs out there. I haven't a prob with P2W, my main prob is the freaking gameplay, who switch nearly every week from smooth/okayish to absolut bad/players in mud/delay af...
The game is pay to win. You can win and compete with decent TOTS, but it makes it so much easier when you have a TOTS Van Dijk or Vini up top.
Sure you can sell your soul and play the game 24/7, trade on the market, constantly recycle cards in sbcs, and get some coins but I bought the game to play it, not spend my time on the transfer market.
The average player is playing their champs games on the weekend and not touching the game during the week. I get 14 wins a weekend and I never get anything good from my guaranteed 3 Tots player pack. This is the average player experience.
The game is definitely pay to win because different players play different amounts and different skill ranges and what not, for a new player without a doubt it’s faster and easier to build a team with money than grinding. But yes over time you can put together a good team with grinding it just takes time where as some might just spend money

seems EA give streamers intended gameplay, cuz your and Zwes gameplay looks so smooth, meanwhile my players act like we are playing in a swamp, in the deeps of the Kongo - my opponent plays meanwhile on a ice-field and glide over the pitch - pure love as usual for this game

I’m guessing it was just Ultimate TOTS FUT champs, but for all of the previous weekend leagues, I have used the same team basically all game, Athenea FS, Salma TOTS or Pina FS and CR7 TOTY or Alvarez TOTS upfront. I would usually go 11-3 and then give wins away. This weekend, I went 10-10, sweatiest weekend i’ve ever been through. Idk if it’s just player, im not the best, but the difference in game between a Rolfo or Bernardo silva and a TOTS Havertz/Bonmati or an Mbappe and Messi vs my attack is beyond me. Then people are just using crossing and lob exploits to win games which is the most annoying thing you can do.
