God's menu is a song to their haters who say that stray kids music is noisy and annoying. People often says them to have construction music. So the song is pointing out the noisy things in our life like the construction sight, noisy kitchen and utensils, and race cars. The song also tells that they can be who they are and not feel down by people's words or actions. Thank for reacting to them, they are my favorite group.
I love it when smart people who actually knows music and knows what they are talking about react to stray kids. A reactor who can breakdown these parts and actually tries to understand the different meanings behind the craft is just satisfying to watch.
YESSSS. like this guys isn't reacting just for the sake of it, he actually exerts efforts and takes the time to understand what he's watching, from the symbols, to cultural connection and significances, to lyrics. *i stan*
Yeah agreed, I love that! Normally for me, it would kinda be a bit annoying if the reactor constantly pauses, but with this guy I don't mind cuz its so interesting and nice to hear him show actual interest and try to break down what the meaning behind the lyrics and the music video is ❤
I’ve seen a lot of stray kids God’s Menu reaction videos and I can honestly say yours was one of the best. Unlike most reactors, you actually take time to understand the lyrics and the meaning behind each scene. Very in-depth analysis. Keep up the good work!!

I also love how you really read the lyrics. These guys are creators. The guy in the jumpsuit, with the for rent sign is Bang Chan aka Chris, he's not only the leader but writes, mixes and produces literally almost every single track that is part of their discography. He literally chose the group from the bottom up and allows them to be the creative group they are, and it's awesome to see a reaction video where someone appreciates it.

@@KnoxHill Knox, just so ya know, 3racha( BangChan Han & Changbin) were the ones who produced this song alongside all their other songs. That's info I know you'd love. Also, when ur finished reacting to StrayKids, could you check out Dreamcatcher as well? Plz
@@KnoxHill You might also wanna know that SKZ is selfproducing. They have a subunit called 3racha (Changbin, Han, Chan) who make all of their music. Other members pitch in from time to time too!
Jesus... you killed this reaction. You picked every piece apart and nailed it. You also realized that there are cultural differences with translations and such. A lot of reactors try to react kpop lyrics like they are speaking English when there is a lot missed because they didn't understand that we just won't get some of their references and puns and such. That was dope.
Tang is the name of a Korean soup dish, so in this case it represents hot and tasty food/music as well as an onomatopoeia type sound to go with the song since there's little to no sound that rhyme with "du"
Doesn't tang also refer to a spice level? Like the food has a certain tang? I thought that was just an English word... It's so interesting to know it has so many meanings within the song :0
@KINGDOM OMAR I hate when people say “they copied from each other” like bro its different. Blackpink DU DDU is a gunshot and Straykids DU DU DU is chopping💀 Even the pronunciation is different.
4:56 the moment you became my favorite reactor! I haven't really seen someone try to breakdown Stray Kids lyrics like this before, this was amazing to watch! This is my first video of yours and now i can't wait to watch more. Genuine lyrical breakdowns are my favorite, and you did an amazing job, thank you!
The construction site and the science dudes represent Creation The kitchen represents experimentation The race track represents competition All are metaphors for their music 😌
Wow, I've watched tons of reactions to God's Menu but never seen anyone reconstructed the meaning of the song with such a precision and understanding. You are incredible listener and really smart guy, I stan talent. You are 100% right, the song is about their music. They self-produced over 100 songs in 3 years, experimenting with 32 genres in their music, including edm, trap, psytrance and much more and have one of the the best rapers and best rap lines in the industry. Stray Kids isn't just a boy group, they are a genre. The industry couldn't find a place to put them in so they created a whole new genre to describe their music called 'Mala (spicy)' genre. You have to listen to Easy, Tortoise and the Hare and Maze of Memories to truly see their genius. With a love 💖
Also Felix is the one with the deep voice.... if you think his voice is deep here listen to victory song by stray kids.... he goes even deeper .....it’s insane
Stray kids: Easy, Tortoise and the hare, Miroh, Maze of memories, Lavanter, Double Knot, Back door, 19, All in, THESE ARE ALL A MUST !!!!! Even IF you don’t react to them AT LEAST listen to them on your own😩😩😩😩😩
Your analyses are always so in-depth and thoughtful; rather than just going “wow that’s dope!” you break down **why** and you’re extremely clever and quick to figure things out
That’s exactly what you’d expect from this channel. I found his channel from his Eminem and other rap reactions, I expected it to be another “wannabe” rapper just reacting to Eminem like other plain reactors, but it was the complete opposite... he broke down every bar, noticed almost every flow change, beat drops, cadence, and attitude. As someone who’s a kpop-fanboy, I expected him to be close-minded about the Korean music as a whole, and here he is reacting and enjoying it.
The creator part can also be seen as a nod to how Stray Kids creates a lot of their own music as well as have producers in their group (the 3 producers named themselves 3racha). This is kind of big because many (not all) Kpop idols/idol groups tend to have little to no freedom in their music production or even any say in the lyric process as well. Stray Kids, BTS, and a few others write, and produce a lot if not most of their music which is very rare. (This is why Kpop gets the bad rep of being "factory" or people saying their idols are manufactured and not actually authentic)
Hey I bet you're gonna love them cause they actually produce and write their songs! The rappers are so talented in this group, they are crazy good and their flow is unmachable in the Kpop scene honestly! All 8 of them are amazing rappers, singers and dancers at the same time too.
Stray Kids conformed by 8 vocals, rappers, dancers, models, visuals. The only group to be self-formed, to have all their self-produced discography and to create the new malatang genre. It is the kings & leaders of the 4th gen who came to dominate the world.
Hey, I'm sorry to bother you, but could you tell me in which way they are self-formed? I don't know Stray kids that well yet, but they were not some friends who decided to form a group, right? I'm really sorry if this question somehow comes over as rude, but I'm genuinely wondering.
@@SvZ2003 no problem!! There was a survival show of JYP named Stray Kids and in this show JYP let Bang Chan (Stray Kids' leader) to choose members whoever he wants in his group. So Bang Chan chose all of the members himself. With this they became the first and the only group to be self-formed
@@ezra4425 I definitely will, I'll just need time to get to know them properly and to match their names with their faces, since at this moment Felix is the only one I'm able to recognise. 😅😂
This was the video that actually brought me to Stray Kids a year ago!! And I am absolutely down the rabbit hole but I love everything about it! Thank you so much for reacting to them, they deserve the world
as someone once said God's menu has the idea of Creation (continuous work making at the kitchen) Construction (developing) Competition (race track) all are necessary to remain ahead of the game in the industry. i guess the background matches the theme of the song perfectly.
stray kids make their own music. Production, lyrics, choreography ... Everything belongs to them. The guy who was in the kitchen at first is the fastest rapper of kpop. Changbin. With 11.13 syllables per second. Their songs are related to world problems, depression, human psychology, success and motivation. There is a lot you can learn about them, but over time :)
I know I am late to the party but I have just found out about SKZ! I love how you broke down the meaning behind the lyrics and the video. You made the video make sense!!!!!!!! I will be looking for your other Stray Kids reactions!
Back Door is the title track for their successive album “In Life”. It was featured in TIME magazine's top 10 songs of the year (2020) at number 8. They were the the first and only Korean Boy Group to be featured in that category, and the third Korean Act (after Girls' Generation and Psy). “Stay” is the name of the fandom. The sentence at the end of the video is a message for the fans. They put it in every official MV. The girls are from a group called NiziU a junior group from the same company. Apparently Tang is a type of soup (I read it in a comment explaining it). The concept of the MV were the 3 C: Creation, Construction, and Competition. SKZ is a self-producing group. Their producing unit is called 3Racha. It can be pronounced both as “three-racha” or “Sri-racha” (it's a pun. Korean pronunce three as sri); the name is inspired by a hot sauce called Sriracha. It is made by Chan (the leader), Changbin, and Han. It was originally a rap pre-debut group. They have released their sub-unit songs in TH-cam (with a channel called 3Racha). Their dance unit is called DamceRacha. It is made by Lee Know (real name Minho), Hyunjin, and Felix. They have released some choreography videos in the SKZ official TH-cam channel. The Vocal unit is called VocalRacha. It is made of Seungmin and I.N (real name Jeongin). They are the youngest of the group. Recently they released some songs written by them on the TH-cam channel. Chan and Felix's nationality is Australian; so, they are native English speakers. Han and Seungmin are pretty good in English as well. Some songs I suggest (group songs): -Back Door - Top (opening song for the anime Tower of God). - Slump (ending for Tower of God); Top & Slump have 3 versions (Japanese, Korean, English). - Easy - Blueprint - Neverending story (OST for the kdrama “Extraordinary You”) - The tortoise and the hare (Yes. Like the tale. 😂) - Maze of memories (everybody raps) - Side Effects (psychedelic-trance song) - Any - Chronosaurus - Gone Days - All in (Japanese & Korean) - Levanter (Korean & English ver.) - My Pace - Miroh - Boxer - Double Knot (Korean & English) Some individuals / unit songs: - We go (3Racha) - My universe (VocalRacha) - Wow (DanceRacha) - Wow (3Racha; they are 2 different songs. This one is pretty Iconic for its lyrics. 🤣) - Matryoshka (3Racha) - Scene Stealer (3Racha) - Maze of memories (3Racha version) - I got it (Han; a diss track) - Alien (Han) - Don't want to acknowledge it (Chan) - Streetlight (Changbin) - Piece (Seungmin & Changbin) -Cypher (Changbin) - Maknae on Top (I.N, Chan, & Changbin) - Wish you back (Han; really recent one. It's inspired by the anime movie “Your Name”. The writer & director of it noticed the song and complimented it in a twitter post.) Honestly, there are so many good songs that I can't list them all.
Thank you for this sunmit! I love their songs but don't know much about the inside since I don't know how to be a fan lol. I'm gonna watch their sub divisions videos and more songs of them!
Stray kids are a self producing, self choreographing, group. They also write most of their lyrics and are honestly the most allrounded group I know. Literally all of them are good at rapping, singing and dancing so it kind of depends on the song who‘s doing what. However they have 3 subunits: 3racha: Producing unit consisting of their Leader Bang Chan (6:15) the literal definition of an allrounder, Changbin (2:16)and Han Jisung (stage name HAN) (4:02) which are basically the main rappers. They are credited for 99% of stray kids songs and what's also interesting is that Chan handpicked all the stray kids members himself. Danceracha: Consisting of Hyunjin (16:21), Lee Minho (stage name Lee know) (13:46) and Felix (9:40). They‘re the Main dancers, Hyunjin and Felix mostly rap in their songs while Lee know is a vocalist known for his falsetto. Vocalracha: The main vocalists consisting of Seungmin (7:22) and Yang Jeongin (Stage name I.N) (10:30 with the black hair). There was also a former member named woojin that you might see in some of their other MV‘s, he left the group in 2019. hope this helped and that you will react to more Stray kids, I recommend „Back door“ and „My Pace“. ❤️
fantastic info, I hope Knox sees it! You could also mention that they are self formed as well (hand picked by Bang Chan and not a bunch of execs at JYP)
Finally someone able to understand the MV and not thinking it's all over the place. Everything in the video has a meaning behind it. Really enjoyed this
I watched Gods Menu so often already and I'm amazed by how you interpreted all those lyrics. Like you opened my eyes on some of the detailed meanings and you caught on to them sooooo fast. Reeeeeaally impressed 'thumbs up'
bro..dude..lemme tell you right now- you are so good at debunking the meaning of the lyrics and the music videos, im shocked- ive been trying to debunk Gods Menu when i first listened to it and i never seemed to completely understand it now you just did an excellent job my dude omg 😭🤚🏻
this song is also a jab at the haters. there were (and still are) a lot of people that say stray kids only makes “noise music”, so they created gods menu to be loud and and have a borderline overwhelming amounts of layers and musical transitions to show that they can do literally anything and still succeed. although this song hasn’t won any music show awards, it launched them into international popularity and is part of the reason they are breaking so many records right now. everyone stream gods menu and vote for skz on kingdom😁
Fun fact, there’s a subunit in stray kids called 3racha, where 3 of the members, Bang Chan(leader), changbin(rapper) and Han(rapper) write, produce and compose ALL of their songs.
Stray kids double knot! One of their older songs or maze of memories which really highlights their rapping skills and Felix raps in English with his manly Aussie accent
Omg Finally somebody doing reactions who realizes that there’s likely cleverness in the Original lyrics and the translation needs a bit of interpreting. So many people assume the translation will have the exact same impact when no, there’s so many layers lost. Thaaaaank you for having the intelligence to interpret and look deeper!
The impressive thing about Stray Kids is that it is one of the few kpop groups that is self-produced, 3 of its members have a sub unit called 3RACHA that is in charge of the arrangements, composition and lyrics of most of their songs, I invite you to hear more of them
Something I love about Stray Kids is that they mainly produce all of their own music and a lot of their songs have strong messages with lyrics about mental health and loving yourself. Also, at the end, they go through the back door and it leads to their song after this called “Back Door.”
4:41 I know it's a bit late but they put construction machines in the mv because people who don't like them call their music "construction noise" so they are letting them know that they don't care and will always keep on making the music they like (hope this helped and isn't wrong)
Every scene in the MV has a meaning. Kitchen is Chaos, the marching band and the members making a mess. Race Track is Competition, the cars are racing like NASCAR. Scientist are Experimentation, testing their experiments. Construction Tools are Construction, creation and destruction. And they all apply to the group and their music. The process it takes to make their music and how they are always willing to try new things.
Actually, the fandom name is WithU. It's supposed to be an answer to the need call from the girls to their fans asking for support. NiziU sounds like Need U.
Knox if you have time go and watch "Stray Kids Survival" It gives you how they were formed and how from the very start they wrote their own, produced their own and choreographed their own. God's Menu is the culmination of their beginning and transformation, they are indeed unique in the industry. Good comments on this, you actually caught it all 🙂
This was one of the most well-articulated and inquisitive reactions to God’s Menu I’ve ever seen! You pointed out a lot of things that I didn’t even notice or that other reactors don’t notice. Thank you for appreciating Stray Kids’ creativity, music, and hard work!
Thank you for not shying away from your compliments for Felix. I am so glad you've given K-Pop a chance. I've really enjoyed your BTS reactions as well. The Korean music scene is insane! They are geniuses at putting on awesome performances.
Oh wow you’re amazing! I’ve never seen a reactor be able to pick up on the lyrics and the visuals and the vocals and the production altogether! Many often get overwhelmed and focus on one aspect they’re more keen on/have more knowledge on but it’s impressive how you can pay attention to so many things at once! & nail the meanings/intent behind the details perfectly!! Thank u for reacting to the kids, this is truly such a masterpiece!
when Felix said 'im a 5 star Michelin, reached the peak of taste I see it illusion" he means that he'll be the judge of the artists who hated on stray kids and is then saying you think that's the best but it has to be an illusion that your seeing and I can tell you're seeing an illusion coz its shit (video-wise, beat-wise and lyric-wise)
Changbin 2:20 .... Han 4:02 and Chan 6:13 are the producing unit of stray kids they make 99 percent of all skz songs.... you can check out runners high by them if you wanna get a taste of their rap line by itself.
You are right about the "travelers and even pigeons, magpies, and crows" line although on top of that all of the words rhyme (down to the word "even" too). It's some great Korean wordplay.
Stray kids is an 8 member group handpicked by their leader bang chan. They have their own producing unit 3racha composed of bang chan, changbin, and han. Stray kids wrote 103/104 of the songs in their discography and the one not included is "going dumb", a collaboration with swedish dj alesso and chinese artist corsak for pubg last month Edit: and they are 3 years old, with 30+ genres on their pocket and also being the most credited 4th gen group by KOMCA (korean music copyright association) to date, bangchan with 85, changbin with 78, han 75, I.N 9, felix&hyunjin 8, and lee know& seungmin 7.
This analysis is AWESOME literally the depth I’ve been looking for in all of the other reactions. I love how you got the whole concepto of stray kids just so well and even got the last part right (back door reference). I mean stray kids are awesome, not only they can dance, sing and preform skillfully (which is already hard on its own) but they do their music with meaningful topics and not only talk about the overrated love concept. Also the guys are just amazing and their personalities are so wholesome, u can’t just not Stan them.
FACT : After their first full album titled GO生 (Go Live), Stray Kids had been the 'mala taste genre pioneer' as their songs satisfy all of the senses like the food itself. Their title track God's Menu (神메뉴) is the proof that you will not forget their music once you taste it.
"This is our TANG TANG TANG TANG" TANG means stew/soup in Korean. As you mentioned they are putting all kind of creativity into one pot and making a real authentic TANG!
That handsome creature with the rugged voice? He's Felix, born in 2000. He's also Australian along with the leader of the group (Chan/BangChan, the one with the x chain on his face), I forget they're Aussies until they speak English, especially for Felix. Another member (Han Jisung, the second rapper that came up) is also an English speaker. But yeah, they're known to be a self-produced group, meaning that the majority of their songs were produced by 3RACHA (a predebut unit consisting of Changbin 2:20 , Han 4:16, and Chan 6:13, they have their own music from back then and they're just amazing composers). I might be wrong in this, but the company they're under (JYP, gross) doesn't really manage them as much as they do for other groups which is really nice to see. But yeah, they're absolutely amazing, their versatility is amazing (all the rappers can sing, they can all dance, they're all good looking) and they definitely deserve the recognition they have. I got drawn to them because of their very meaningful and heartfelt, comforting lyrics (similar to BTS, I love them both for that reason) and I hope you react to more of their music later on! Their whole discography is a bop from what I know. ALSO: you mentioned them leaving through the backdoor at the end. That's the name of the title track they released after God's Menu! and the girls are a Japanese girl group called Nizi-U i think, they debuted a bit after this song come out, I think jyp was giving out a teaser for the new group here

Ikr!! It was so good. And there was stuff that I (as a stay who has probably listened to this song a million times by now) didn't even notice 🤣
He even realised that they left through the BACK DOOR . I didn't even think about that 🤯
It really helped me understand it myself as he was analyzing each part.
Yeah, he did that didn't he?
Tang is the name of a Korean soup dish, so in this case it represents hot and tasty food/music as well as an onomatopoeia type sound to go with the song since there's little to no sound that rhyme with "du"
I took Tang, Tang, Tang, Tang as the sound and gesture as they are throwing food into a bowl. At least that's what it looks like to me.
Tang tang tang refers to the sound of shooting gun in korean 🙃
Doesn't tang also refer to a spice level? Like the food has a certain tang? I thought that was just an English word... It's so interesting to know it has so many meanings within the song :0
@@codex_jinora it is just an English expression I think, I hadn't heard of it before.
@@jin5258 oh, I didn't know that. I'd seen the soup thing many times before so I just assumed that was the one meaning it had.
The “Du du du du” is a Korean onomatopoeia for knife chopping
Thank you for the explanation about that. I always wondered about that
@KINGDOM OMAR blackpink meant gun shots
@KINGDOM OMAR I hate when people say “they copied from each other” like bro its different. Blackpink DU DDU is a gunshot and Straykids DU DU DU is chopping💀 Even the pronunciation is different.

You should try Anthony Ray. I learned a lot of stuff with his reactions on stray kids or other rappers
The construction site and the science dudes represent Creation
The kitchen represents experimentation
The race track represents competition
All are metaphors for their music 😌

Yes, he deserves credit for that. He is amazing!! We need more like him
That’s exactly what you’d expect from this channel.

SAME KNOX, SAME.
Oh hello from Knox gc

Hey I bet you're gonna love them cause they actually produce and write their songs! The rappers are so talented in this group, they are crazy good and their flow is unmachable in the Kpop scene honestly! All 8 of them are amazing rappers, singers and dancers at the same time too.
Stray Kids conformed by 8 vocals, rappers, dancers, models, visuals. The only group to be self-formed, to have all their self-produced discography and to create the new malatang genre. It is the kings & leaders of the 4th gen who came to dominate the world.

Some songs I suggest (group songs):
-Back Door
- Top (opening song for the anime Tower of God).
- Slump (ending for Tower of God); Top & Slump have 3 versions (Japanese, Korean, English).
- Easy
- Blueprint
- Neverending story (OST for the kdrama “Extraordinary You”)
- The tortoise and the hare (Yes. Like the tale. 😂)
- Maze of memories (everybody raps)
- Side Effects (psychedelic-trance song)
- Any
- Chronosaurus
- Gone Days
- All in (Japanese & Korean)
- Levanter (Korean & English ver.)
- My Pace
- Miroh
- Boxer
- Double Knot (Korean & English)
Some individuals / unit songs:
- We go (3Racha)
- My universe (VocalRacha)
- Wow (DanceRacha)
- Wow (3Racha; they are 2 different songs. This one is pretty Iconic for its lyrics. 🤣)
- Matryoshka (3Racha)
- Scene Stealer (3Racha)
- Maze of memories (3Racha version)
- I got it (Han; a diss track)
- Alien (Han)
- Don't want to acknowledge it (Chan)
- Streetlight (Changbin)
- Piece (Seungmin & Changbin)
-Cypher (Changbin)
- Maknae on Top (I.N, Chan, & Changbin)
- Wish you back (Han; really recent one. It's inspired by the anime movie “Your Name”. The writer & director of it noticed the song and complimented it in a twitter post.)
Honestly, there are so many good songs that I can't list them all.

Stray kids are a self producing, self choreographing, group. They also write most of their lyrics and are honestly the most allrounded group I know.
Literally all of them are good at rapping, singing and dancing so it kind of depends on the song who‘s doing what. However they have 3 subunits:
3racha: Producing unit consisting of their Leader Bang Chan (6:15) the literal definition of an allrounder, Changbin (2:16)and Han Jisung (stage name HAN) (4:02) which are basically the main rappers.

Oh woah I didn't know that! Thanks for the precision ^^ #Stay
the construction site is most probably a reference to the haters that call stray kids' music "construction music" or "construction noise".
Song recommendations:
Easy
Back door
The tortoise and the hare
Maze of memories
All in
Pacemaker
Up
Fun fact, there’s a subunit in stray kids called 3racha, where 3 of the members, Bang Chan(leader), changbin(rapper) and Han(rapper) write, produce and compose ALL of their songs.
The impressive thing about Stray Kids is that it is one of the few kpop groups that is self-produced, 3 of its members have a sub unit called 3RACHA that is in charge of the arrangements, composition and lyrics of most of their songs, I invite you to hear more of them
The way you understand what they are trying to tell us all, and how you break it down is genius. Like bruh.
As soon as Felix showed up and started singing his line... I knew exactly what Knox would say 9:33
Something I love about Stray Kids is that they mainly produce all of their own music and a lot of their songs have strong messages with lyrics about mental health and loving yourself. Also, at the end, they go through the back door and it leads to their song after this called “Back Door.”
4:41 I know it's a bit late but they put construction machines in the mv because people who don't like them call their music "construction noise" so they are letting them know that they don't care and will always keep on making the music they like
(hope this helped and isn't wrong)
Every scene in the MV has a meaning.
Kitchen is Chaos, the marching band and the members making a mess.
Race Track is Competition, the cars are racing like NASCAR.
Scientist are Experimentation, testing their experiments.
Construction Tools are Construction, creation and destruction.
And they all apply to the group and their music. The process it takes to make their music and how they are always willing to try new things.

And Stay is also the name of the fandom
The reaction to felix has me genuinely laughing out loud 🤣
You are right about the "travelers and even pigeons, magpies, and crows" line although on top of that all of the words rhyme (down to the word "even" too). It's some great Korean wordplay.
Stray kids is an 8 member group handpicked by their leader bang chan. They have their own producing unit 3racha composed of bang chan, changbin, and han. Stray kids wrote 103/104 of the songs in their discography and the one not included is "going dumb", a collaboration with swedish dj alesso and chinese artist corsak for pubg last month
Edit: and they are 3 years old, with 30+ genres on their pocket and also being the most credited 4th gen group by KOMCA (korean music copyright association) to date, bangchan with 85, changbin with 78, han 75, I.N 9, felix&hyunjin 8, and lee know& seungmin 7.
They also didn't write or produce Never-ending Story, although Changbin contributed some lyrics to his rap.
Also the guys are just amazing and their personalities are so wholesome, u can’t just not Stan them.
i think the construction background is there just to throw a jab at the anti’s that say their music is construction music
fr and in one of the gods menu performances, chan even danced with frypans lol,we love a savage leader
FACT : After their first full album titled GO生 (Go Live), Stray Kids had been the 'mala taste genre pioneer' as their songs satisfy all of the senses like the food itself. Their title track God's Menu (神메뉴) is the proof that you will not forget their music once you taste it.
Even Knox fell in love with Felix at first sight. Felix is irresistible.
"This is our TANG TANG TANG TANG"

Just Lix collecting men all over the world 😂
Your reaction to Felix is literally the best thing ever
his first reaction of felix's lines is GOLD
