- The grant from TEFAF will support the cleaning and restoration of the entire office, ensuring the stability of its structure. Through the restoration process, the V&A will gain insight into how the office was constructed and this information will be of interest to expert conservators around the world.

A life long passion for F.Loyd Wright . Architecture and design . So pleased to have spotted this on the News. I can No longer travel to London . From France age, not Covid. But will try and see online . Joined N. Heritage to be able to still feel part of England . From Richmond Surrey. London's museums were a world of wonder. In the Mid 1940's.
I Use to work at the V&A some 21 years ago. I worked on this room for over a year . Firstly I worked at Blythe road building a sub structure for the room to hang from .Then I worked with another guy called Ron assembling and erecting the room in the basement of the Henry Cole wing of the V&A.
This was one of many great projects I was able to work on. Another being the Glass gallery well worth a visit.
I'm very happy to see this video abt the reconstruction & preservation & cleaning done on the beautiful unique wood mosaic mural of various plywood veneers. Seeing it from this perspective answers so many questions I've had for so many years. Please make another of it and room & the fabrics & wool carpet by Aalto's wife
