She’s.. so precious, and sweet. It’s honestly tragic. I hope this disease gets cured someday... life must be so short... it’s honestly so heartbreaking and, for a child to not understand the impact of their own illness. She’s a sweetheart.. she didn’t deserve to be born with such a heartbreaking disease, but she deserved the loving family and life that she had.

I don't think there are only forty cases, maybe say only forty documented cases.!! I work in a hospital in Namibia and we got a few cases of progeria. And I'm 💯 sure they are not documented.

Unfortunately she did in 2015, at the age of 17. She outlived her doctors expectations by four years. I am definitely going to read her books. She was a true inspiration and had such a wonderful spirit ❤️

Well let’s consider that they all acted as if Hayley who was actually just a happy playful child was treated ( particularly by her mother) as if she were going to die any second, and wanted to put her in this hospice for children when she was just 6 years old! When actually Hayley didn’t cross over until she was 17 years old! What would have been so wrong about just having a cute wig made for her so she would have actually felt more normal around the other children at school? Why treat a child as if they are going to die each day instead of letting them live life as happily and normally as possible!🌟 Her grand parents and father were great and treated her so wonderfully! 🌟
Firstly, why does she NEED a wig at that age unless she asked for one and if her social life is not suffering? Do you not realize that by pushing a wig on a 6-year-old her if she hasn't asked for one, or hasn't expressed confidence issues with her appearance, that you are pushing insecurities onto her from a young age that she might not have even had before? You're the one making her feel as if she has something to cover up. Haley was clearly confident within herself at that age, and happy to run around with her bald head much of the time. All of the kids clearly accepted her for who she was. Her teacher said she was popular, and Haley herself actually said she was tired of all the kids wanting to talk to her. Her personality was enough.
Secondly, why are you making assumptions about their lives based off of this one documentary? I was following Haley for many years through the several documentaries made about her up to her death. At some point, when she was a bit older, she did have a wig made for her. It was her choice to either wear one or not - and most of the time she didn't. Her parents clearly instilled self-confidence in her. Through all of the things done for this little girl to make her life easier and longer, including trips to America and experimental treatments, do you really think her parents never thought of a wig??? I hate when people presume to know what's best for a child who isn't theirs, especially a special needs child that they have no clue about.
Also, how did you surmise that Haley's mom was treating her as if she was going to die? Her mom repeatedly said that she didn't want Haley to know that she had a short life expectancy and didn't want her to know all of the realities of hospice. Hospice is used to assist in the medical/mental/emotional care of people who have a terminal illness. Haley lived to be older than the average person with Progeria, but she WAS still terminal, so the offer of hospice (which would've been prescribed by her clinical care team) was 100% appropriate. It doesn't mean that she's on her death bed. It just means that she's being supported in every way possible through an illness that will kill her in the not-too-distant future.

I am over the moon to hear that your little pup is okay, nothing worse than a sick puppy when i was 18 my cat lost both of his legs because i cut them off while sleepwalking , it was terrible the whole family was terrified of me for weeks.
@@rcc2741 hey this hayleys godmother i can confirm she is dead and did in fact donate her heart and lungs to a jack russell. It turned out that she was 42% dog already so the heart and lungs were a match for our african neighbours dog. Its great that the dog was saved but we miss out little alien so much!
