Very well done! I had no idea where the crash site was located. I’ve been by it many times. Now, I’ve learned something new.
Thank you for all your research and for posting this story.
    Cheers!

I went to camp in Ligonier for many years and had no idea there was an accident there. Thank you so much.

    ❤❤ a jewel indeed ❤❤
I grew up in Wilpen and knew about the wreck (I did a report on it in 5th grade) but a lot of this information was new to me. It's always harder knowing names and details about those involved.
Great video, thanks for keeping history alive!

Great video! I’m the guy who talked to you this morning in Ruthie’s. Turns out I already subscribed to your channel quite some time ago. Forgot all about it till now. I’ve turned on the notification bell so I don’t lose track again. Lots of great looking content that I’ll be catching up on.

A very sad, tragic story - in the end human error and an archaic way of working were to blame for something which was avoidable. How often has that been repeated? On a lighter note, that station building in Ligonier is a beautiful structure. It reminds me very much of a tinplate station building Lionel made in the 1920s.

Hey i grew up around 10 miles from here, and went to school here. I used to stop every so often after school to read the sign on the trail about this. Glad to see a video on it.

Thanks for this. I have not heard of it before. Loving near vestal NY and growing up there I thought the corning wreck was the vestal one untill I looked replayed that part of the video. I'll look into that one. Have you heard of the 1910? Vestal dynamite explosion? I have some original photos if you would like them

A similar explosion occurred near Uniontown, PA I may focus on someday. If you wanted to, you can send those images for me to look at redoubtproductions1754@gmail.com

Thanks for the informative video. Have you considered a video on the PWS railroad that ran on that same line and on to Somerset? There scant information on it and I’m sure you could bring it to life.

I'm considering it, I just haven't found the time to traverse the grade lately.

I'm sorry to be "that guy", but you are pronouncing Latrobe incorrectly. It is Lah' trobe, not Lay' trobe.
