Well they can't really market their unhealthy food to children anymore. That's why their old mascots like the McNugget Buddies are practically verboten now. So I guess when they do things like this, they probably figure that they have to market it toward the niche of "weird" nostalgic adults who will go out of their way to collect them. Their previous Adult Happy Meals involved figures of the old McDonald Land gang, but they looked warped and strangely had multiple sets of eyes. They looked like they were designed by someone who was tripping on shrooms or something. But yeah, I had no idea who Kerwin Frost was before these meals, and I probably won't care afterwards. They should probably do these things with people who are more recognizable or relevant to pop culture. Or as you recommended, just make McNugget Buddies with various costumes unrelated to a single obscure artist or personality.
I actually prefer weekly releases as opposed to blind boxes. It’s easy enough to set a reminder to go once a week. It’s much more annoying to buy a bunch of blind boxes, still not get the full set, then having to hunt the rest down on eBay.
Yeah, I hate blind boxes. It's such a transparent attempt to drive sales and repeat business. "Oh, you have to buy several or make multiple trips to increase your odds of getting the one you want!" In other words, you want us to spend MORE money to get things we don't want until we get the things we do want. Got it, thanks.
Love McNugget Buddies, but who the hell is Kerwin Frost?? First time to ever hear of this guy. And I have no desire to own a "Kerwin Frost and friends" character. If these were more classic costumes, it would be a much bigger hit.
Some of the figures actually look pretty fun, but I don’t understand why McDonald’s feels the need to constantly collaborate with musicians. My nuggets don’t taste any better just because Cardi B ate them too.
@@SuperSpindasher1991 Who said I'm only complaining about it now? I voice my dissatisfaction each time this trend of bad artist collaborations taint these nostalgic toys.
So these are in Canada 🇨🇦 then? I only know who Kerwin Frost is from seeing him on Full Size Run. Proud member of the FSArmy here. Another great video Spot
Actually the codes ARE for the individual ones...you didnt notice the other code above the lower code? Thats how you can tell. A different person commented on here with those codes and which characters they relate too.
I don´t get it. It´s like they did before with some toys that were adult collectibles. Instead of making something universally liked they went with some bizarre design that almost nobody liked. To me, what they should have done was to, for once release action figures. Let´s say of the McDonald´s characters. Obvioulsy, I don´t mean a McFarlane like figure. But figures in fast food toys can have all points of articulation because at that moment they become actual toys and not "freebies". So, just release figures with all 5 points of articulation.
Here are all the codes that under the box
038-Darla
447-Waffutu
514-Kerwin Frost
651-Uptown Moe
828-Brrick
865-Don Bernice
775-Gold Nugget
Yes that’s how I got all mine, I just went and asked them to look at the bottom of the box boxes and gave them five dollars for each box.

My wife and daughter like these. If they did McNugget Buddies movie characters instead, I’d maybe go for it, Marvel or Star Wars, etc.
I don’t know why McDonald’s don’t just put out Happy Meals with the original characters instead of the bizzarre ugly variations.

McDonald’s has been doing these collabs for a while, dunno why you’re just now complaining about this.

mcnugget buddies are back cool I remember them in 1992
Also to note there is a mystery golden McNugget character that they don’t advertise too
Thanks, Spot! God bless and stay safe!
McDonald's is trying to do an "Art Toy" style blind box for a limited time.
In Texas I hunted those all week got found all 6 and had 6 doubles
So I sold the doubles on whatnot
These are interesting
Thanks for the review
GREAT VIDEO SPOT REVIEW 👌👌👌👌😉
I’d want to check out one in person then maybe get the others.
Nice! Haha i wasn't planning on collecting these but all i need now is Brrrick and Waffutu 😅
100% interest in the return of the McNugget people! 0% interest in Kerwin whoever? Adults who remeber the McNugget buddies have never heard of him?
Wow it’s expensive in Canada, $8.44 for a quarter pounder combo here in NC granted it’s not a Big Mac meal. $10 in change for the adult happy meal
you got the two i wanted!!
Only been able to get just one adult meal and got lucky enough to pull the rare Golden one^^.
