I was such a sucker for this game back in the day. Had the wrist strap and played the hell out of the online multiplayer until it inevitably died off. There was something uniquely special about the experience of this game.
It has a nice charm to it. Aside from controls, it was nice to lose yourself in this maze-like Metroid game, even if progress was impeded by youth brain not understanding where to go xD

The 3DS reminds me of the old times, where devs have to make the best with ancient or bad technology. They still make games for this thing and Hunters and RE Revelations look great.
This was a damn hard challenge but I just completed my first time 100% and dude Im so proud lol this was the only Metroid game I had never done a 100% run but today I can rest in peace 😂

Now this, this is a game that desperately needs remastered or remade! At 4K, the graphics don't look bad at all! On this DS they were chunky and low-res. We don't need another Zelda TP/WW port, we need this redone!

Did yaknow this game was designed to be played with a thumb stylus? It was an accessory only included wiith the Phat consoles. Less crampy, still get access to both triggers, feels kinda like using a ball mouse
i always though you couldn't make a damageless run of this because of this specific part 41:34 where sylux starts shooting at you while you're still on a cinematic 💀
I'm almost certain you missed a couple of scans in the incubation vaults. There are 2 or 3 consoles explaining that the portals next to them will return you to the docking bay (and are one way portals).
Can someone please tell me how to play this game like this? I know it is some kind of emulator, but i do not really know how it works. Can someone tell me, please :)
It's impossible for me to look back to when I played this with fond memories, this game was awful. Bad controls, bad level design, same bosses repeated over and over, I could not push myself to finish the campaign. The only fun I had was with the MP bots and cheesing them using Trace or Sylux with his turret.

This game gives me a lot of Half-Life vibes with its graphics, compressed sound, and environments, pretty cool feeling!
Playing this game gives me Outer wilds vibe don't know why... maybe the programmers of Outer wilds took inspiration from the Metroid saga

This game rules, only sad thing was the lack of imagination on bosses (too repetitive), but it was awesome.

Watching people play this game is really entertaining, unlike playing the game itself.
Honestly the main issue is the controls and the hand cramping from having you hand is such an awkward position for hours.

That thumb stylus put a deep scratch on my ds phat while playing this game.
Playing this without knowing when Metroid Prime 4 is coming out (and 2 echoes remastered and 3 corruption remastered too)
Pretty clever but i saw 2 times where you did in fact take damage one of them was in the middle of the first artifact room

Its the ideal way to play but I'm pretty sure you can play using only buttons and it supports left handed play too.
