It’s not just the booze but the taxi fares, specially app rides at prime hours, the late night take out, nudity cabarets , sexual misadventures, uneducated investing, all the dumb shit you buy online drunk or hungover, just neglecting your finances in general. Wow this video is rare as hens teeth, very hard to find videos on this platform discussing alcohol and money, what a damming indictment on alcohol industry as a whole. I've spent over £7,500 this year alone drinking beers only with friends most evenings a week, spent approx £17.5k over 3.5yrs. Basically paying a small mortgage each month. Alcohol is insidious and b4 you know it it takes your wealth, health and everything in between. Literally pissed my money down the toilet. Great video gents covering the aspect to this poison. It robs u of your life in every way.
Originally, I only tallied the cost of the booze ($10-$20 PER DAY and sometimes more!). I didn’t include the peripheral costs. For example, shopping on Amazon, buying books and music that I didn’t’ read or listen to ((yet), buying gadgets… Then the junk food and convenience foods. When I looked at my bank accounts I felt miserable. So I drank to dull the regret. A vicious circle. Alcohol simply turned off the sensible, reasoning, responsible part of my brain. It turned off all the fun in my life.
