Naranjito, Puerto Rico - Is It Even Worth The Trip?

  • Naranjito is a beautiful town in the central mountainous region of Puerto Rico. But, while it’s right next to Bayamón, one of the main towns that conform the San Juan Metroplex, it can be a pain to get there.
This is because of a cable-stayed bridge (“puente atirantado”), built to connect Naranjito to Bayamón. Today, just twenty years later, that bridge is in dire shape. And yes, I tell you all about that controversy as well.
I also tell you about what to see in Naranjito. But the “real reason” why this town should be high on your list will surprise you. It has nothing to do with attractions.
This is one video you'll want to see from start to finish!

You know I have to say. You did such a great job with this informative video! I found this because I'm on a journey of honoring my father, may he rest in peace. I'm on a quest to reconnect with Puerto Rico. I've been practicing my Spanish and cooking. My cellphone provider messed up my phone number in transfer. But to make up for it, they gave me a new number with a 787 area code. Now, when I call people, it comes up as Naranjito Puerto Rico. Thank you for your video. I found it very well put together and illustrated. #wepa 🇵🇷 ❤

Thank you for your kind words. I enjoy exploring Puerto Rico and showing it to the world. Connecting with your family roots is also fun. In fact, my wife and I have been tracing back our family tree and we’ve already reached the 17th century in my case and the 19th in hers.
