    The Closest a Pacer actually came to where I live... I never got to ride it 😫

    It’s strange seeing these trains on preserved railways when only a couple of years ago they were still in service.

    Cool. Probably the only time a pacer has been on the east lands railway. I’d love to see a 142 on this line, as they actually ran in east Lancashire (144’s normally only operated in Yorkshire). Does anyone know if this train will run on the east lancs railway again?

      It came to the railway for storage before moving off to be used for training with Greater Manchester Fire Service. The idea was it would always have a couple of running dates, originally planned to be the Railcar Weekend last weekend, but delayed until the Summer Diesel Gala. It was turned out in this livery for a filming job, which has now been completed and I doubt will run again before leaving, but you never know. It is currently sat alongside the carriage works at Buckley Wells.
